Now will you so kindly explain why I am ignorant?

Is the fact that you're feeding a troll enough of an explanation for ya? Or do I need to bombard you with internet memes?

TheScienceNerd In reply to TheCynicalPoet [2010-10-11 03:40:12 +0000 UTC]
Allow me to elaborate how a troll fails, IE: How you fail.
"Trolling is like throwing a spark on dry, quickly flammable material and watching it quickly ignite. It is not like using a blowtorch over damp wood for hours to force it to ignite."
I have a troll account on this site, the first comment that was made with said account produced a reaction of several morons constantly posting juvenile and moronic comments on my page. Two of them blocked me and, after they blocked me, continued posting comments on my page for several days. This also resulted in a random passerby trying to explain to the 16-year-old, Narufag, Lady-GaGa loving idiots that I was trolling, the idiots responded by blocking her in RRRAAAAAGE.
What you have done here is act like a dufus to produce a total sum of nothing. You are not a troll, what you are is a sad 15 year old idiot.
My advice: leave the internet before you hurt yourself.

Nothing. Being perfect is impossible to judge, and if you judge yourself as perfect, you are imperfect.

You're not perfect until you die.
And, that being said, I know exactly what I need to know about you.

To be human is to suffer: I know you feel bad for yourself because you suffer.
It is part of humanity.

Shouldn't everyone feel bad when they suffer? Isn't the emotion suffering also known as "feeling like shit"?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
TheScienceNerd In reply to WiseJackFr0st [2010-10-11 01:51:04 +0000 UTC]
No, suffering is the feeling of pain or distress. It in no way denotes feeling like shit.
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
WiseJackFr0st In reply to TheScienceNerd [2010-10-11 01:52:39 +0000 UTC]
..Im pretty sure feeling like shit also relates to being hurt, or in distress. IE: A shark bite victim is in the hospital, his buddy calls him
"Hey man, how you holdin' up?"
"Ugh.. I feel like shit.."
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
TheScienceNerd In reply to WiseJackFr0st [2010-10-11 01:57:10 +0000 UTC]
Feeling like shit and suffering often go hand in hand, but they are not perfectly connected.
If one suffers, it does not mean he has to feel like shit. Conversely, if one "feels like shit" it does not instantly mean they suffer.

Or uh.. Let me.. "study" it?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
TheScienceNerd In reply to WiseJackFr0st [2010-10-11 02:22:20 +0000 UTC]
I can give you several examples.
I'm an actor, as such I have portrayed characters that suffer on the deepest level. If you aren't an actor you may not understand, but to play a character you must feel what they are feeling. Acting is a passion of mine, it gives me happiness. When I feel the suffering of a character I portray, I feel happiness in myself.
If pain is always equal to suffering, what would you say to a masochist that tells you pain to them creates happiness?
What would you say to someone who has committed suicide thinking that the only chance at happiness would come from death?
To add onto that, what would you say to me, a person that would tell you that death is the ultimate form of happiness and yet lives regardless?
And what of a soldier fighting a war, they suffer in in the fight but would they not also feel happiness knowing they are fighting to protect the ones they love?
There are hundreds of more situations I could pose to you, I could twist happiness by saying that a drug addict does drugs just to be happy, full knowing that every time they do it they are digging themselves into a deeper hole of suffering.
The learning process requires two sides: One for the speaker to speak with truth, and the other for the listener to understand their words and take from them what they must.

You are the preacher who is promising us hell.
And into the ear of every anarchist like you, we will sing.
And we'll go like this:
"While my mother waters plants,
My father loads his gun,
He says death will give us back to god!
Just like the setting sun!
Is returned to the lonesome ocean.."

TheScienceNerd In reply to WiseJackFr0st [2010-10-11 02:38:51 +0000 UTC]
I am the preacher who promises nothing.
You asked me to "enlighten" you. I posted a long response, from which I came to expect an answer.
You responded by not reading it.
I would LOVE for you to present me something new that I can believe in.
-----
While my mother waters plants and cries her inner tears for the ill child that she failed to raise
And my father loads his gun for a religion that he only believes to free himself from the guilt of cheating on his wife,
He says death will give us back to god with full knowledge of his words are falling to hell.
Just like the setting sun is returning to the lonesome ocean,
Even the ignorant suffer in hiding, but above all else, the man who seeks knowledge suffers on his path.
But at least the man who seeks knowledge tries.

The Bible's blind
The Torah's deaf
The Qu'ran is mute
If you burned them all together, you'd get close to the truth

The Bible holds truth to millions
I have not read the Torah
And I am currently reading the Qur'an.
If you burned them all together, you'd lose the chance at learning something new.
Why did people write the books?
What were they trying to say?
What if what they say is true?
What impact does that truth have?
What if they were false?
What impact does their falsifications have?
Why do people swear by it day by day.
Why did I bother rewriting the poem you sent?
