Description
Long planned artwork and birthday present for lovely featuring her original character Rustyn Khelba from her Neverwinter Nights 2 fanfiction called Frozen Heart -> [link] If you're not familiar with the story yet, go take a look!I had originally planned to make a bit different portrait but when I read the latest chapters of the story this idea popped into my head and I just had to paint it. So here is Rustyniel Khelekba Lae'raien, the chaotic evil gold elf mage and follower of Umberlee in all her natural element.
Full size, please!

Also, this tutorial here [link] turned out to be really useful when I was painting the waves.

Gorgeous! She looks as if becoming the avatar of the Storm Goddess.

Wow, I love your water rendering.
I was kind of disappointed with NWN2 though (mostly because you couldn't romance Bishop. >_> )

Thanks a lot! I'm glad you think so - the water effect was rather difficult to create so I'm glad you like the way it turned out.

Very nice water effect, which coupled with the lighting in the background efficiently illustrates power. I like the pose, it looks as if she's rotating in a calculated manner

I must say I'm happy with the way this came out as well - especially those waves took forever to make.

I already told you my opinion when I showered you with kisses - and I am writing this at my desk at home, while looking at the lovely painting which now is placed right beside me.

I forgot to tell you - I also like how Rustyn looks quite young. She is, in fact - she should be 18-19 as a human.

Thanks! I thought she might be - after all, a bit over hundred years isn't quite that old for an elf.
How's the story coming along by the way? I thought I'd have time to work on my own fanfic during Christmas holiday but as it turns out I spent most of my time playing games...

Skyrim must be great - I'll have a chance to try it out when I raise enough money for a new computer, as it doesn't run on my old one and I don't want to install it on my laptop. I have 5 fanfics to keep up with, and I can mostly write at night, which irritates my family so I don't know. But I have enough for a new chapter soon... and waiting for your nice reviews!

It is lot's of fun - and it has tendency to consume all your spare time. I really hope you'll get to try it soon! And it didn't help at all that I got Sims Medieval for Christmas which got me ridiculously hooked as well...
Yup, I'm still working on those reviews - hopefully I'll manage to post something soon!

Stop telling me about amazing games - since my old comp died, I haven't played even The Sims 2 or 3.

OH my goodness! This is incredible work! I am stunned and staring which does not happen that often. What a beautiful rendition of a very complex character. I do hope Fomi will continue the story. Perhaps this will renew her inspiration!

After reading the latest chapters I instantly thought of painting something like this... I'm looking forward to the continuation of the story, too. I'm sure she'll have some more time to write now that she's back home.

WOW. That water. Her eyes. O_O
hmm, her nose looks odd. with noses, with them being smack in the middle of the face, it's usually better to only line a little bit of it and leave the rest to the imagination, rather than line parts of it that don't work with lines.
Instead of lining the bridge, just highlight it there and maybe add some shadows, depending on the facial structure of the character and the lightsource.
Am I making sense today? >.>

Thanks a lot!
Yeah, now that you mention, it might need some improving... I don't know why, but the nose always seems to be the most difficult part for me. Anyway, thanks for the tip!

Fomi has been so downhearted this morning, but I'm sure your present will cheer her up better than any word could do.
