Yes! He easily percieved Captain Amelia as so oppressive and tyrannical that he desperately wanted to kill her and permanently take her place as captain on her ship, whereas Amelia perceived Silver as a disgusting mechanical pig who doesn't deserve to have her rights as a captain being brutally taken away!
