Description
This is Gjaqui Qu [pronounced: Jah-quee Koo]. He is a MELODIE, a star wars race...not a merman! This race begins life as humanoid bipeds, and eventually make the transformation to a mermaid-like people. Gjaqui was trained by a Melodie Jedi master. The master had already reached the adult stage by the completion of his training. During that time, he had developed a way to use the force to shift between having legs and having a tail at will. Due to his advanced age, he was unable to utilize the skill himself; however, he was able to pass on his knowledge to Gjaqui. Gjaqui is a Jedi Factotum and excels at water-related force skills and underwater combat.I just got a tablet!! IT KICKS ASS AND I LOVE IT. This is my first attempt in using it.

Apparently I made it too small, which is a shame cause you can't see any of the shimmer in his tunic that I worked so hard on. *sniff*

This is great! Haha I was deciding what race to make my OC so I looked up a list of all the races in the Star Wars universe and decided I liked the Melodies! I'm still working on her design but I think I've decided she's attending the Jedi academy as a young girl and will choose to become a "Elder" when she's 20 years old. As is tradition. She may like being a human, but her home and family are on Yavin 8. That's where she truly belongs. That's all I've come up with though.

They seem to look fairly human in the two official pics I could find. I wonder if that power he's using to switch is alchemy, as the Melodie may have been created by its use... I love the Melodie. They're one of the best forgotten species of Star Wars.

Thank you very much, although I'll admit that I took a good bit of "artistic license" with him. I'm sure you've discovered (like I have) that there just aren't any good pictures of the Melodie.
