you're right about his face... he looks like that ucrainian minister who was poisoned some time ago...I forgot his name...
and the hand , well, I dunno, I first drew it reaching out, but it looked strange, so I decided to draw it this way,
kinda like he's got almost no energy left to reach completely out for help...

but nevertheless I appreciate your comments,

Its a great pic man, I recon well worth the few days work. You've captured the character and the mood of the film perfectly. Tetsuo is such a torchered character. As always your use of lighting and shadow are superb, this is no exception. The little details, in the mutant arm especially are fantastic and your use of forshortening is VERY good, and area I suck at ! My only comments that havent been mentioned already would be your choice of pose. The hand would work alot better if it was reaching out to the viewer, that draws the viewer in but also it is a more suitable pose for this character. it would be more like hes reaching out to escape the pain. Otherwise this looks really great and I can see you tried some new techniques in the painting. Great work.

Mweh,.. i didn't like akira... >_< hate me for it..
i dont know what all u people think is so great about it.

And what sven said, luv the coloring, but his face looks to wrinkly, like that takashi dude... too old..
and his left hand is in a kinda weird position... maybe u shouldve drawn it palm up.. or something..

still... great drawing! it really is a whole..

i like it very much..i love the colors..reaaaally good..altho one tiny thing that could be better..like he has a bit to much wrinkles in his face,,mayb you shouldve removed the line art..and just shade the wrinkles....cause now he looks a bit like gizmo from gremlins
