Ah well as a zoologist, my approach to plants has always been a bit funny .. I don't think I really connect..
I helped a friend to fill up his domain, so I have taken thousands of plant pictures. (See the link below. Only the ones marked drkoesters are from me). I also didn't have art in mind.

Oh – beautiful!!! Certainly RedTube is the right name for this one LOL I love the composition, focus and the flower as well as its colour. Very lovely! The background is perfect. Just enough shade differences to keep it interesting without distracting the eye from the flower, and not leading the eye away from the subject either. Another winner Izzy
