Description Been thinking of doing a tutorial of how I draw thylacines for a while now, so why not finally make one? Please keep in mind that these are only my observations and I'm still learning, too! This is in no way 100% correct way to draw thy's!

I used a lot of references to hopefully help you along! One can never use enough references. I'd also like to issue a slight warning when referencing taxidermy mounts as refs for your thylacine art: please keep in mind that a lot of the thylacine mounts that exist have inaccurate anatomy! They're great learning tools, but they are not always the best references for getting your thylacine anatomy right.

I also included little to no info about thylacine eyes because we really don't have that much we know about them. Their iris colors have been described, but as far as I know never confirmed. I like going crazy with my thylacine eye colors, but my standard go-to color for them is brown like we see on most taxidermy thyla mounts.

Handy resources for learning more about thylacines:
www.naturalworlds.org/thylacin… (Online thylacine museum, a site completely dedicated to thylacines)
twitter.com/WindleBeth (A Twitter user who has the "thyladream" and "thylastream" hashtags, in which they tweet pictures and facts about these animals)

Other thylacine drawing tutorials/helpful resources:

www.deviantart.com/mikan-no-to…
www.deviantart.com/carolzilla/…

Should I do more tutorials? If so, what on? I mean, I could do the standard "how to draw wolves"-thing, but there's already obviously hundreds of those out there. Other things you'd like to know how I draw them? Just tell me!

Photos belong to their rightful owners and are used under fair use (some are in the public domain, too)
