Cause he's lonely and he was on his phone and he felt like opening up and trying to explain why he felt sad to online friends hoping they were willing to listen without accidently boring them out or bumming them but then the wifi died and he was forced to just go to bed in silence while his internal conflicts slowly ate away at him thus resulting in him not wanting to sleep.

He'll get through it. It's not like he has any thoughts of purposly doing harm to himself. He's just a sad lonely boi who's only wishes to feel happyness and joy from friends.
