...Well apparently, I was having so much fun coloring this it looks like I finished coloring it in a day. I had to use alot of references for the colors to get them to look just right on the girls. Experimenting is fun.
So yeah, I LOVE HeartCatch Pretty Cure. It's so awesome! One of my favorite PreCure series made so far out of all of them. It has a lot to do with it's design though. Ojamajo/Powerpuff crossover. Best thing ever. At first I thought...WHAAA? It's gonna be a rip off! But now, I just adore the style.
So yeah rant is over. Sorry. This was fun to work on. I finished it way too soon though. Maybe I'll draw more Pretty Cure art later.
Enjoy guys!

To your left: Cure Marine. To your Right: Cure Blossom. The show? Heartcatch Pretty Cure (many say it's the queen of all Precure seasons).

Someone stole your artwork and used it on a bootleg Heartcatch Pretty Cure: The Movie DVD. Just wanted to point that out to you.
Here's the link to see the stolen artwork.

...............OMG LOL I can't believe someone actually stole my art. XD I need to find a way to report these people now. I just sent them a message on that page asking them to remove it. Hopefully they're nice and will do it. But thanks for letting me know! I appreciate it!

Oh, you have to blame the company LF, who made the DVD, for this stolen artwork.

Gaww. I love those girls, especially Erika/Marine. "I can't think of a catch phrase! I'll come up with one next time!" That line had me cracking up for hours. XD
Looovin' the flowery background. <3

This picture is awesome!
But I suggest you use the airbrush tool as an alternative to the blur tool/effect/whatevertheheckit'ssupposedtobe tool. It really give you a different feel and more control than the blur one

Thank you!
I should, but I'm more fond of the blur. It comes out more nicer. I do use the airbrush once in a while but I just end up blurring whatever I colored with it. It's a habit.

You're welcome!
And oh, ok XD I used to use the blur too, until I found out you could also make that range of effect with the airbrush also. I just thought I'd point that out to you just in case, but whatever you're comfortable with is fine with me

Really? It's possible? Do you mind telling me how? I'd love to know! You got me all curious about it now.

XD well, I don't know if I can explain very well, but let's say you have a cell-shaded.. arm. Then you take the color picker and take the color of the shading on the arm. Then you use the airbrush to take that color and spray it where the shading and the original color meet. You might want to play with the setting of the airbrush to make it blend in as much as possible.
Sorry if you don't understand what I'm saying I'll go look for something on the internet if you don't know.
And if you still like the effects of the blur, then you could just switch the circle brush to the fuzzy brush in the settings with the airbrush, or possibly any brush for that matter.
Gaahh I might not be making sense to you since the format of the program I use might not be the same as the program you use. Sorry

Hmm actually I kinda get what your saying. I found a tutorial on the brush settings in SAI so I think I can get the airbrush to blend. Thank you for the info. I'll try it out!

Well, i checked out a lot of the speedpaintings on SAI on Youtube and most of them use the airbrush. Here's some links:

Just keep paying attention to how the colors start blending in cuz that's when the airbrush comes in
Oh and remember to send me a link to your drawing with the airbrush

It tends to give me grief. I guess I either don't have the right software, or I haven't developed the correct technique.
Either way, you are very welcome.

Mmm yeah I see what you mean. Have you tried Paint Tool Sai? It's a really REALLY great program to use. Especially if you have a drawing tablet.
