Description
Weee! This is Aurora. You may remember her from here:[link]
Now she is in 3D! And pretty well, may I add.
This is for a competition between me and ~dragonkan
I think she came out pretty well for only a week, two days of that being so sick I couldn't work on her, and the rest having school and other projects! I know there are some flaws, though. I hope it turned out pretty well!

This is just eye-candy, beautiful, pristine, creative work. Ah man that splash blue has got me going, that is just awesome and I can't say it enough.
To offer some constructive criticism, here's what I have to say (though really a critique is almost unnecessary when it's this good, but since you requested one I might as well XD) that may help improve things along the lines of "presentation".
I personally would have liked to have scene multiple angles of the ship in it's 3D format. Such a piece like this needs a visible all around angle that can give the viewer the ability to imagine what it would be like to fly this baby in RAC.
I also would have had a "Ratchet" model of sorts to show comparison of size to the flyer and the ship-how and where would the pilot fit in this vehicle?
And that's all I have to say, this is quite an amazing achievement and I hope to see more of the Aurora-keep it up. e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="15" height="15" alt="

Wow! My first critique.. I think. X3
Thanks! I'm glad you love her so much!
I will put up another deviation with more angles and stuff, so you can see around her. There are a lot of details missing from this picture.
Also.. She is rather large. You'd probably barely see ratchet! XD She's supposed to be a big cruiser/carrier/destroyer. I'm tossing terms around since I don't actually know what the actual term for a ship of her type is.
I like how you describe her.. its better then I can, and I made her! XD
But yeah, this was sort of the 'wallpaper pretty' version, and then I'll follow up with a more technical version. Thanks again! ^^

Yep. ^^ All of her weapons are not modeled yet, unfortunately. Wanted to get this part up first.

Simlab's renderer. :3 Thanks!
And I know. Sketchup usually hates organic, lol.

Awesome, I'll look into that renderer once; never heard of it. How did you get the organic right though, this time?

Lots of the solid tools. XD
Also, the renderer does cost money, unfortunately.

I think you won itman. just a guess. lmaooo
I like the ...streamlinedness of her design. Looks dangerous/graceful, you know? Also, the colors are lovely together (kind of reminds me of an orca, in reverse admittedly, but it goes rather well with the dangerous/graceful thing....)
I think the only thing that looks a bit awkward is the nose; it seems too... smooth/pointy. Especially pointy. Might be better blunted a bit? (Not that it looks bad now, just a little off somehow....)

x3 XDD I hope I won.
Thats a good way of putting it ^^ I never thought of the orca.
And idk about the nose. I'll blunt it a bit and email you a pic to see if it makes a difference. ^^
Thanks for the comment! ^^
