Description
Monarch Designation: ScyllaClassification: Oceanum aranea
Nature: Unkown
Height: 61 meters
Range: Arizona
Long ago, Greece was graced with the presence of a large, tentacled arachnid. This creature left its mark in Greek history, attacking plethora of ships that encroached on its territory, being the inspiration for the mythological creature by the same name. However, for one reason or another, the giant arachnid had to leave its home. Some of MONARH's mythologists believe that an ancestor of Godzilla fought it off after a while. It found itself a new one in Arizona, where it subsequently laid there for countless millennia. Unlike most of the titans, of the ones discovered so far, Scylla is strictly a herbivore. Eating algae like a whale shark, Scylla placed very low pressure on the other animals that inhabited the ocean with her.
Tablets found in Arizona, near Scylla's resting place, told of a mud spider that uses the branches of the trees to piece together the universe. Using her tentacles, Scylla used her power to cool down the earth that was super heated by an asteroid. Specialized ink that Scylla shot out would freeze almost instantly. This ice ink could be used to create ice projectiles or freeze objects solid. It may be why Scylla was able to survive in the deserts of Arizona for so long.
2019 update
After Monster Zero (Hydrus mortem) had called the other titans, Scylla erupted from the sands of the desert. Rising to the call, Scylla laid waste to the human cities. Piercing concrete with her legs and turning the landscape into a winter wonderland, Arizona was hanging on by a thread. However a call from Boston, later accredited by Madison Russel and the ORCA, caused Scylla to head in that area. Arriving on the scene, Scylla and a plethora of other titans were able to bear witness the death of Monster Zero by Godzilla (Gojirasurus aquadeus). After that, Scylla has taken residence in a lake in the Antarctic. There, she has aided in recovery of the antarctic iceberg.
