I've been a long-time fan of 's work, so when I (belatedly) noticed he would be attending this year's Big Wow! Comicfest, I reached out to him to discuss a commission. Because we started talking relatively late in the game, it was too late to set up a 'pre-show' piece, so I thought I'd have to content myself with something simple -- something he'd have time to do during the con.

Fortunately for me, Ace really liked Redline and took my initial one-sentence concept ('Redline standing over a couple of dudes she just beat up') and absolutely ran wild with it, resulting in the spectacular piece visible above.

Ace made the commission process enjoyable from start to finish and was a consummate professional throughout. I hope to do business with him again very soon (I'm very interested in seeing what he could do with Shadowknight).
