Any real leader understands that todays "leadership" N-E-E-D-S "empowered" people to make the next evolution. And in Americas case ..ALL it's people must be in full, beautifull, creative, and intelligent form to lead the world to were we all know it can. That means more than a happy, enriched, growing community!

ok, EVERYONE i'm sorry for not liking this image.
it just strikes me funny that it was given a DD, where thousands of people would look at it - on a site that was designed to promote art & promote artists. it's also funny that it's posted during a heated political environment. it does seem to me that it was placed more political reasons, rather then artistic ones - and if that offends someone (which it has) that's my opinion. last time i checked i was allowed to voice that...
so - here is my unbiased, unpolitical advanced critique of this image - that according to all my new hate mail should have been posted on day one:
it has good exposure, and the main subject is properly focused and placed with good composition using a rule of 1/3rd.
since the subject in the rear was given a large enough area to be part of the image, it is my opinion that he should have been more in focus then he currently is. the reason for that is mainly so that the viewer could see his face better and extract some meaning. right now it's guess work and aside from who he _is_, offers little else.
i find this image to be average - it's a famous person speaking with another famous person behind the main subject. it was taken at a moment that favors neither person, nor does it flatter or convey a message or mood. it's someone speaking - is THAT art? perhaps, but i'm having trouble being moved by it. that's not a personal attack - it's an opinion. others share the same view.
i would like to apologize to the person who created the image. i was not attacking you, rather wondering why this received such attention. it's clearly political. is this political art? well i'm clear in my own mind where i stand on that. i have seen incredible images of the clintons together, powerful moving images. i'm sorry, this just is not one of them in my eye.
i must be wrong about DD's - see i'm a bit of a noob here. i was under the impression that such a placement on the front page was to promote artists and show the internet community excellent images. it's rapidly occouring to me that DA is more "myspace" like then people care to admit. i'm receiving hate mail for voicing an opinion. again it's back to politics and not art.
critique is mostly unpleasant the the photography world. i have had numerous images torn apart from peers. it's part of it and is necessary to knowing what makes a powerful image.
