Can't win them all IdeaLic. The point of the tutorial is that with well positioned text, and a good font - you can create a award-winning logo. Sometimes people take it to the extreme, or try to do all of this fancy stuff.

Every logo should be created with the following in mind: is it simple? Can the colors be easily altered or at least made to fit on various background colors? Is it brandable?

Just my two cents though,

To create a logo which really works you need much more
than this and you'll never win anithing with this hints

In your example you chose 3 differnet fonts, doesnt fit together, 3 colors and some freaky elements... that has nothing to do with logo design, so please dont try to pretty this.

PS: There are some more question than this 3, but no one is fulfilled by your MASTER TYPOGRAPHY work rudimentary, so you should update or delete this deviation pretty fast.

This tutorial was created two, almost three years ago. Some people have found it useful, and good for them! That's the purpose of the tutorial. If you haven't found it useful, that's your own opinion and you are entitled to it! Hopefully you'll find future resources more to your liking, otherwise - feel free to drop me a line, and I'll be glad to see if maybe I can find something you'd like.

I just wont let it uncommentated - dA is a good place for designers, but all in all here is to less real criticism. No one should think, that this is the real thing.
