Have you seen the movie Prometheus? I loved how the movie reanimated the Space Jockey seen for the first time in the movie Alien.
It was just a silly idea to make a pony in this exoskelet, or suit, or whatever it is supposed to be.
I started with a basic pony pose (this time drawn without any references, yaay!!), made a few screenshots from the movie and some extra pics downloaded from the internet as a reference and then drawn the suit over it, starting with the helmet and ending at his tail. This was a bit tough nut to crack, as I had no idea how the tail should look like. I finally came with a sort of tailbone design and I think it fits the suit just fine.
I will probably draw the Space Jockey pony without the suit too, as I already know how his cutie mark will look like.

Drawn with pencil in about 5 hours.
Another 7 hours of work in Photoshop.
