But she can't shake how afraid she is of how people might judge her if they knew her dark secret, so she usually tends to her garden at home and sometimes makes small talk with the travelers passing by. Despite her history, she desperately wants to be a good person and start a new life, trying to cover up and forget about the things she's done in the past.

Huck - A fellow farmer Daisy met when he was heading to sell his livestock, and her current pen pal. She sincerely enjoys the time they spend together, as she feels normal and not as lonely around him. They have similar interests and she really loves his family, who have accepted her with open arms since day one. Deep town she is terrified of what he might think of her if he knew more about her, and is afraid to lose this important friendship, so she tries to dodge questions about her. He is also her gateway into the world, since sometimes he brings her along for his trips.

History

Daisy ever since she can remember has lived with her fellow pack of ghouls, more or less the only type of "family" she has. While she doesn't agree with their actions anymore and hates their violence, she is more afraid to be alone and what might happen to her. So she follows along with them wherever they go next, even if they make fun of her. Sometimes they secretly discuss leaving her behind, because she is more of a burden to them than anything. The dozen of them currently reside in a little country neighborhood that they cleared out previously, taking the form of the humans or livestock they devoured to lure in unsuspecting or lost travelers when they can. Daisy still tries to intercept said travelers before they reach the village, informing them that the road she lives on is just a dead end and she directs them elsewhere.

Facts

○ Like all ghouls, Daisy has the ability to take the form of whatever creature she last ate (with a more monstrous outcome), preferring to stay as a pretty young gardener she felt extremely guilty about killing.
○ Daisy picked up a lot of personal belongings from the woman and became obsessed with them, wanting to forget that she is a monster and convince herself she is just a normal woman with a normal life.
○ One item in particular (her journal) she uses to sort of play out what kind of life she is leading, following the writings.
○ She is a fan of flowers and growing things in general—all of her meals are home grown and usually vegetarian.
○ Even though she tries her best to eat strictly vegetables and fruit, occasionally her hunger will take over and she'll be forced to hunt an animal to satisfy it.
○ Her country accent tends to become thicker the longer she speaks about something.
○ She keeps a little book of wildflowers she's pressed in the pages.
○ Sometimes she will get lost in the woods for hours, purposefully, enjoying the serenity.
○ Her eyesight isn't the best, so more often that not she will be squinting unless she is close up.
○ Because she has stayed in the same form for so long, which is unusual for ghouls to do, she occasionally gets flashbacks to a life that wasn't hers—but the woman she devoured. It can be very emotional and upsetting for her.
