Yep, she can move the cloud at will as long as one of her feathers is on it. Pegasi have a passive magic that allow them to manipulate clouds so I took it a bit further.Β

This is a nice idea. However, it feels somewhat scary.... Sacrificing a part of you to hold a pen. That's like paying a droplet of blood to use the keyboard. *shudder*
But anyway, super cute, super huggable and clever thought!

I like to think that she can get a feather from molting. Maybe pegasi molt the way birds do. That way it doesn't have that sacrifice feeling and it's more like "now what can I do with all these extra feathers".Β

I like that. Which leads me to the question if it were odd when ponies wear feathers in a hat or use them to decorate their home... I'm certain not every pegasus will use their feathers to move clouds. It made me chuckle, now I am think that Rainbow has a feather somewhere hidden in her house so she can remotly control her home any way she wants.
Unicorns have it easier when it comes to moving things tho
