Time for one of my favorite ships <3

Applejack and Autumn Blaze became good friends after the issue of the Niriks was solved, especially when Autumn decided to visit Ponyville in an attempt to make friends outside of her village. While she had been welcomed back by the other kirins with open arms, she knew that they looked at her differently than before. When she did show up, with no warning, she ended up staying at Sweet Apple Acres since she knew AJ the best. Autumn Blaze immediately fell in love with the farm, especially when the Apple family welcomed her with open arms. Applebloom absolutely adored the wacky kirin, wanting to show her around town until Granny Smith recommended that job be left to Applejack. Soon enough AJ had introduced Autumn to the rest of the Mane Six, where Twilight was ecstatic to finally meet a kirin and promptly drilled her with questions about everything from magic to village architecture. Pinkie and Autumn Blaze seemed to vibe extremely well, to the concern of the rest of the group that one of them might explode from excitement. Rainbow loved her energized personality while Fluttershy quietly smiled and nodded, both usually letting the kirin run the conversation. And Rarity immediately felt inspired to create a new line of dresses upon meeting Autumn Blaze and adored her, until she started talking to her sewing equipment.

The visit was only about a week, but Autumn Blaze ended up returning to her village with enough souvenirs and presents for everyone back home and with a crowd from Ponyville to see her onto the train. It wasn't long before she came back to Ponyville again and again to visit her new friends and get to know them better. She was used as inspiration for the line of outfits made by Rarity, volunteered at Fluttershy’s sanctuary, watched Wonderbolt rehearsals, baked with Pinkie Pie, and was a guest speaker at Twilight’s school. But Autumn's favorite thing to do was help around Sweet Apple Acres and learn how farm-life worked. She had no problem having her mane mussed up or getting dirty, and gave her all into whatever chore they threw at her. It wasn’t uncommon to see her start speaking to the trees in the orchard or chatting with the plow, but Autumn Blaze could do so without worry of how others would look at her.

Eventually learning to ask for permission before just showing up, even though the Apples didn't mind, Autumn Blaze started visiting more and staying longer. Their guest room became her home away from home and everyone in Ponyville seemed to get used to seeing the kirin around town. Applejack admired her spirit and her work ethic, even if Autumn Blaze was a bit batty. And it didn’t take long before Autumn blurted out how much she admired Applejack and her family, and how much she loved the farm and loved being with her. By then, AJ was plenty used to Autumn’s straight-forward way of saying things and found it charming and silly. The two never really put a label on their relationship as it moved forward, especially early on, and while some questioned the two when they ended up getting together, no one said one word. It was clear that Applejack felt very strongly for the neurodivergent kirin, and the feeling was mutual on Autumn’s end. Autumn Blaze didn’t want to be far from AJ after a certain point and ended up moving to Ponyville, to absolutely no one’s surprise. She earned her way through working on the farm, and it seemed that there was no better place for her than with the Apples.

By the time they actually did put a label on things, Autumn Blaze had proposed to AJ. They had a simple wedding at the farm, inviting only their closest friends and family (and, of course, all of Autumn's various inanimate object buddies). The kirin had fallen in love with the large Apple family, especially since Big Mac and Marble Pie had already started on their own little herd, and started to hope that she and Applejack would be able to have foals, too. But when it came time to start family planning, AJ was informed that she was unable to have children because of fertility issues. And with them both agreeing carrying a baby would be too much for Autumn Blaze's mental health to handle, Applejack was heartbroken at the idea that they wouldn't be able to carry children. Knowing AJ's troubles, and having just had her first kid over a year before, Rainbow Dash offered to be a surrogate mother for Applejack and Autumn Blaze. With an immediate Apple family member being the donor, Dash carried and delivered Pazazz Apple, absolutely adored by everyone around him. Between his mothers' constant doting and Auntie Dash taking him to flying lessons, there was no doubt he'd grow up to be a fabulous addition to the Apple family. Years later, after Rainbow Dash had dealt with nearly back-to-back pregnancies between Autumn Storm, Pazazz Apple, and Downburst, AJ and Autumn Blaze wondered if another addition to the family would make them feel more complete. At this point, Pazazz was a young adult, and to his parents' surprise, was incredibly excited to be a bit brother. So Applejack brought up the idea to Dash, asking if she'd be willing to be a surrogate again. She was enthusiastic about helping her friend out again, and the plan happened exactly as before but this time, Rainbow Dash gave birth to a girl. Nutmeg Apple stole the hearts of anyone who laid their eyes on her, until they saw what a handful she was.
