You can major in a subject and still be a complete dumbass. Like... just because you are super knowledgeable about a particular subject doesn't mean you won't struggle in other areas.

Reminds me of my sister's college science professor who forced everyone to call him "Dr." and made a big deal about it if they forgot. If it's even possible, he may have been less competent than Wilson.

well, wilson canonically beat adventure mode, and i can think of not a single professor at my university who seemed like they could beat dont starve adventure mode
there were some people that i was pretty sure i knew more about their subjects than they did it was troubling
