This is such a great picture and your such a good artist! I was really in awe of it all and very giddy. Expect me to ravish your galery soonish Β
There are so many things awesome about this picture that I don't even know where to start. So. I'll start with the basics: You really know how to get the most of graphite-drawings. Your technique with the pencil is awesome, a great variation of soft lines of different strength. I am especially in love with Kagome's hair and Sesshomaru's fur. I can almost feel the texture of both - silky and soft - just from looking at them. I also love that you avoided hard eges and lines, as it adds to the atmosphere of the picture that everything is so soft.
The same goes for the shading. I have a feeling you held back with it a bit, which makes it hard to see where the source of light comes from ( - if one were to ignore the giant ball in the air that probably is the moon - ) so I think you may be able to add a few more shades, but I don't really find myself missing it too much. The lack of shades gives the picture a bit of a blurry quality which - again - fits in wonderfully with the whole concept of the image.
Another favourite of mine in this picture is the arrangement, the position of the characters. Sesshomaru takes up the whole space of the picture, but it doesn't feel very overbearing. His posture and Kagome's also look very natural to me and I feel kind of like a fly on the wall I'm very surprised that you said that you don't draw dogs very often. This really is ... perfect in every aspect. The only thing I'm not sure of would be Sesshomaru's size, as I remember him to be bigger in the Manga compared to Kagome, but that's just... details.
All in all, the only thing to add and stress once more is just how much I love this picture.
