Link: So, you two got into this new academy two?
Ike: Yeah. The principle sent us a letter saying we got accepted.
Marth: We decided it was a good way to meet new friends and start relationships.
Ike: So, why did you want to get accepted?
Link: We hardly have any schools in Hyrule. I wanted to get accepted so we can start a good education.
Ike: Link, you said 'we'.
Link: Oh! I forgot to tell you that Zelda got accepted in as well!
Marth and Ike: Zelda!
Link: Yeah! We're best friends and help each other out. She's right over there. *Points to Zelda*.
Marth: She's cute. And I'm getting.... Sleepy. *Falls asleep on Link's shoulder*.
Ike: Yeah... Me too. *Falls asleep on Link's shoulder*.
Link: Uhhh, I'm going to hang out with Zelda now... *Leaves*.

i understand peoples dislike for pairings. i really don't mind, like i don't like ginny from harry potter even worse if harry and ginny are paired XP but i do like the brotherly moments between harry and the weasleys like this i don't mind them being paired but i absolutely love how their all friends here it's really cute and how the lighting is too. it's called opinion.

Marly was intended to be a girl at first.
It's the same deal with Soriku. Sora and Riku are just Friends. Kairi, on the other hand...
First off, she's apparently the most important link when it comes to Sora's memories. Secondly, the physical incarnation of those memories looked exactly like her.
With SSB pairings, it's even worse, because there's very little real subtextuous interaction between any characters, and many have love interests back home, including the fire emblem characters. Link, Mario, and Luigi's love interests are even playable characters! So really, their just comrades in arms or friends... Or pets.
Oh, and most interaction is player controlled.
