Description
This is a Swarmite. They're one of the smallest intelligent races known to exist in the galaxy. Small enough to fit in the palm of a human hand.

Note the claws on either end of their body and the nerve queues at the ends of their antennae. Though each Swarmite is a fully fledged individual, they have the ability to swarm and attach their bodies to each other much in the same way Earth's army ants do. They can utilize this ability for similar purposes, but thanks to the nerve queues, they are also able to create physical links between their minds.
This will allow them to control the swarm much more effectively as if it were a single organism. Additionally, it substantially increases their intelligence, letting them make incredibly complex computations, solve problems, and even perform extremely powerful arcane feats.
