This AU story, which I’ve named Secrets of the Nahual, is heavily based on Mexica (Aztec) mythology and lore. While the story is still been written I’ve yet to edit some elements of it before I begin to share it. Nahuals were shapeshifter but little is known about them, yet a certain red fox who appeared at the entrance of the city as a child might hold the secret about the existence of all.

Clothing is a symbol of military and social status. Boys wore the same apparel until they came of age and joined the military forces where by rising through the ranks would acquire new weapons, armor, and clothing, along other things.
