As we were enjoying lunch after the 2.5 hour grind up, the clouds appeared. Their shadows began rolling across the lake, giving good depth to the scene. This is the view from one of the campsite spots.
Location: Wedgemount Lake, Garibaldi Provincial Park, Beautiful British Columbia, Canada.
Equipment: Nikon D90 + Tokina 11-16mm + Tiffen Polarizer.
Processing: Photomatix Pro 4.1 and Photoshop CS5 from 3 RAW exposures.

This is gorgeous, but a very strange combination of colors, IMHO. In some parts the gray is like a cement gray and the blue of the lake in contrast is very pastel-like.

Not much plants up there among the rocks. That place is only out from under the snow for a few months per year.
