Description
The largest East European scylacosaurid therocephalian with skull length up to 43 cm. Julognathus crudelis is described based on materials from the middle Permian locality of Sundyr-1, Mari El Republic, Russia. Julognathus occupied the niche of the largest predator within the Sundyr tetrapod community, forming a trophic match with the herbivorous tapinocephalian.
