Description Part of my series on my mother and a refined version of my doll house image. Was hoping to animate this, and may still do that. Eventually I want to put all the still images and any animations together into a short "film" about her illness.

I like the concept of the shot, but if you put a little decay in the wood flooring and maybe some small trinkets to catch the eye it would rock. Just little things is all. Like I said though, the shot is really good.

I love 3d work!! The texturing on the doll is really great. Looks so rough! I also am very impressed by the half-deflated ball. Great work!

Thank you! You're the only person who has ever mentioned the deflated ball!

Wow, neat picture. So, you made this with a 3-D art program? Amazing! I like the crayons and all the tectures everywhere. The doll is cool, too!

Thanks! Yes, it was made with Lightwave, an old but still relevant 3D program. I love modeling and texturing this stuff. Just thinking up objects to create is a blast.
Thanks again!

Heh, I love 3-D stuff. It's so . . . well, shapely!

Hmm, there's always some mixed emotions when lookin at artwork that was created as a result of sadness of any kind. I mean, I end up liking the work most of the time but it's always a little weird sayin it's beautiful. The art that's made is wonderful but I wouldn't wish trama on an artist just for art. I get tongue tied in my comments sometimes, I hope that made sense. Good luck to your mom and nice render..........

Amazing, it really is, I love the cold and gloomy feel of it and how the doll looks so sad and alone sitting there. You did an excellent job on the enviornment, it really adds to the emotion. Great job!

Thanks, CarbonDog. Appreciate the feedback. I had just mentioned to another deviant how a toy without a child around implies a child in danger or missing, but in this case, the doll represents my mom as a child, a bit of a twist on the symbolism.

Thanks, I love your work (you're a production machine! You must own a supercomputer to be able to render all the stuff you do so quickly!)

Thanks, Ash. How's Alaska these days? I hear the temperature is actually getting warmer up there by a few degrees.

Have you seen any glaciers yet? Is Alaska ALL glaciers? LOL. I admit my ignorance about Alaska.

Throw a snowball for me!

Thanks, yeah, I've been in music making and geek modes lately, just now getting back to art stuff. I've been doing 3D for almost 10 years (yeah, I'm old), but only now getting into UV mapping, so that's bringing me back to doing some 3D work and PhotoShop (to make the textures).

I've also been working on some 3D tutorials at my lyzrdstomp.com site.

Take care!
John

very nice indeed, sounds all good that you are now motivated to plough out some art, good luck to you and keep the good work up.
