Here's a very simple and quick technique that resembles the style of one of my favorite artists-Dave McKean ( [link] ).You use a photo of rust (bark, etc. from [link] ), and integrate it into the lines, pits and valleys of your face with a couple of clicks in Photoshop. Easy!

Thank you! Looks like your first attempt came out pretty good. Did you try it with a black and white photo as well? Tends to pick up the texture a bit better.
