To start man, the technical aspect of actually drawing this was executed fantastically. That is probably the best looking eye I've seen you do. and the mouth really shows a more detailed realism than you usually have with teeth.
And now to your vision and originality with this piece. It seems that I've seen a very similar expression and abstracted outcome from some of your other works, but I really enjoy that. This piece (especially knowing you and your artistic style) really seems to show something about who you are on a different level.
There's a mouth and an eye very clearly in this drawing, connected in a fragile way across a spiral inward and outward, which itself is the center of the opposing geometric and organic, as well as existence and absence (the dark). The center of everything is the barrier dividing what we take in (the eye) and what we expel to the world (the mouth). And further the hints of abruptly cut off ventricles (it would seem) give it a further feeling of a living expression, tied into the fabric of reality in spots, and struggling to not fall away from it at other spots.
Overall: This is awesome Ivan. Seriously. Keep it up man. 5 stars.

That is awesome to hear another persons interpretation of my art tho.
I always feel the meaning of the drawing reveals itself to me as I draw but most times I can't articulate it as well as that word-wise.

Surrealism...never easy to pick apart but I've got the time so I'll give it a shot.
There's an exceptional degree of movement in this piece -- it is the syrupy propulsion of some cognizant entity, a piece with so much simultaneous depth and clarity that I'm just a little blown away.
You really did a gorgeous job capturing a divine sort of texture, and for that reason in itself, I'm rather impressed. I love the way the teeth disintegrate into a pattern, one that (at a glance) returns the viewer's eye back to the lips and mouth. And despite being a seemingly impossible scene, I feel like the image is very expressive and lively.
My only objection to this piece is with regard to the top row of eyelashes. It's forgivable to me, of course, because I'm so infatuated with the rest of the piece; though, figured I'd mention why I was hesitant to give 5 stars for technique. Call me picky, but they could use a little something more. The rest of the eye is fantastic, however, and I love the attention to detail (blood vessels and reflection).
On a final note, I really dig that section right above the mouth, as well as the consistent usage of black to exemplify "holes" toward the bottom.
OVERALL: Looooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooove this piece. Surreal and wonderful; it brings me joy just knowing that this kind of art exists. Bravo.e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/w… " width="31" height="17" alt="

They actually remind me a little more of the strands you see on feathers. I think they're just too consistently thick; zee bottom ones are fabbbbz, though.
