Made with JWildfire. Some fading straight lines, then a cosine and bswirl final transform for the loopy effect. No 3d variations or pitch/yaw rotations at all!
The image makes me think of race conditions in multithreaded programs.
[I notice a few hours later... I update the image so that the background points are more straight, removing the otherwise visible parabola on the little lines. I'd put a comparison image here, but wow, I have to pay money to put images in the description? Wow.]
