Made with JWildfire. Then the G'MIC-Qt Barbouillage Paint Daub filter and some colour rebalancing. I intentionally had a rectangular cutoff in the original flame to have this "screen within a screen" effect that expands towards the centre.
I think this would not look out of place in black mirror. Maybe this image is calming to others, but I find it a bit threatening, or vulnerable - staring into the internals of such a powerful machine is likely to have consequences. Or maybe the fear factor is intentionally designed to produce placid subservience.
