Citrine Bloodclover. Daughter of Facile (father) and Dahlia (mother) Bloodclover.

~History~

She grew up on the Island of Liabynn (pronounced Lie-uh-bin), a floating mass of earth kept away from the cursed world below. She was raised by her parents, who were magic-users like she was. The island was a very tense place, as there was a great division between magic-users and 'normal' people. This was due to magic-users being banned from the island, as they were blamed for causing the apocalypse below. This caused Citrine and her parents to grow up in the lesser parts of the city, where life was unnecessarily tough and merciless. As she got older, her parents were killed in a riot against the magic-users, and Citrine escaped on a griffin with the help of a friend. This man gave her a parting gift--the jewel necklace made of blood diamonds. These diamonds would react towards magical presence, and tell Citrine when her body was too overran by curses. It was a tool that could save her life in the world below, as curses can sometimes be very secretive until they lash out at the body...

Citrine made it to the city below, a newly founded populace that had learned how to fend away the monsters of the world below. She stayed within it for a time, until she was forced to leave due to being a 'witch'. She wandered the world for a bit, struggling to survive and using what little resources she had left. It eventually led her to the Blanket Bog, the world's largest bog/swamp. Here, she found blue snails that had been mentioned on her island by magic-users, a blood source that would fend off curses that had entered her body due to exposure to the world. All was going well, until she came across Tephra, a deformed man who had an interest in taking the sacred blue snails from her.

~Personality~

Citrine is a semi-social, but also semi-anti-social woman. She has issues with trusting others, given her background of being hunted by other people on Liabynn. However, she has a social spirit, and likes to chat up others who seem to be less of a threat. Overall, Citrine is a bit with herself when it comes to needs. She didn't grow up needing to take care of other people, as that was her parents' job in the group of magic-users they lived with. Her main goal was simply to survive, and take care of herself. To this day, that is her mentality.

She is a bit of a thrill seeker as well. The traumas of growing up in a world where her 'family' was quite often burned at the stake left her scarred very deeply. She takes up tasks such as hunting monsters in the swamp, and challenging beings that are more powerful than her as a pass-time. It has added to her line of curses quite badly, however, the blue snail blood she takes makes it bearable.
