Note: I would upload both pictures in the same picture except I can't figure out how to.After seeing several of these recently, I have decided to do my own as well to show a general opinion of the Mario characters. Of course I couldn't do every single one, but at least the ones that stick in my mind. Also keep in mind that I focused more on characters and less on enemies.
One more thing to say is that the light grey didn't show up well on the picture, therefore I had to outline it in paint.
Heart=My absolute favourite characters
Star=Characters I also really like (The bottom ones mainly being because they're cute gameplay mechanics)
Tick=Characters that aren't at the top of my favourites, but I still like them and have no problems with them
Ellipsis=Characters that I can't like as much whether it's because they have more potential or there's something about them I dislike.
Cross=Characters that I genuinely don't like and I wish to not see them in many games.

I just chose that colour because it was the one that stood out the most, but the balloon baby Yoshi is my favourite anyway. Anything that flies in a Mario game is typically the most useful anyway.

Balloon is my second fav. Plus mangetna is another color i actually like.
Glowing was a lot like Bulb Yoshi minus invisible parts being reveled but he was pointless to have and bring in light areas but he does reward you with a 1up which is a plus.
He was useful for stunning the enemies with the light blast.
