Description Redact’s reaction meme, a.k.a., a compliation of doodlios to figure out Redact’s personality.
He’s my own OC and I still don’t know what kind of paperbagboy he is. Is he perpetually angry? Constantly flirting? Always getting molested by the telephone? Never knowing what nipples actually are? Next thing you know, he’ll be on your chest looking at your nipples. “They’re mammary glands, Redact. Calm down.”

I drew this over a span of about a month or so, off and on between classes and during lunchtime. Oh the akwardness trying to cover the “I’ll see you in the bedroom” (he’s already in the bedroom, oopsies) from my Physics teacher.

LOL IYGU<3<3
So very smart yes, though I worry slightly for your help.

Miss M is..oh jeez, what's the right word for her? Petrifying? That doesn't even come close (though when she smiles, it's like the entire world's imploded with joy; that woman has a smile of gold)
You should have seen me trying to draw in her class. Every time she'd come near, I'd hunch over my desk and hissssss. Ahh man.

Hahaha, oh god, nice to see the whole thing now.
I almost feel like doing this meme....but that would involve effort, and digging up an old OC of mine....which would be quite...nostalgic?

(...and weird, since 90% of them were either cute or emo monsters that could've come straight out of
"Fosters Home for Imaginary Friends")

EFFORT, SASHAY. YOU CAN DO IT.
Oh my god, I miss Foster's Home, that was the one good show on 45 (other than futurama) that I could watch for hours. Shame they never had Foster Home back-to-backs.

Wait, if you were covering the "I'll see you in the bedroom", did you draw all these on one sheet? I can feel the awkwardness.

Hahahaaa oh my god that'd be a disaster. I can just imagine bringing a heaping bristol board into class with the reaction meme on <3
I actually printed it on four pieces of regular 8.5 x 11 inch paper; it just happened that I was working on the page with the bedroom when my teacher walked by. OOPS.

I wouldn't feel entirely comfortable with drawing around classmates either though. Then again, your style is really presentable.

Drawing in front of other people is pretty nervewracking, I'll admit (though it usually depends on what's being drawn). I can't see why you'd have too big of a problem though, your style is so pretty ;3;

I usually find that drawing people around other people is overwhelming, just because it naturally turns into an anime style. And my style's not pretty, it's sort of unrefined xD

And we know the prejudice around anime (though they have a secret love for anime too, they just don't admit it - or so it goes in my mind)
But unrefined is where the beauty comes from, no? Besides, refinement will come with age, no rush.

A lot of people already know that I'm an anime artist, so I always have this inkling that I'm being judged whenever I draw. I'd like to believe that everyone has a secret love for Japanese anime, and I really like the people who openly admit it xD
Sometimes, the unrefined aspect is where beauty stems, but it's such a moody thing. You could work 5 hours on something where it's still unrefined, but it doesn't look as great as something unrefined on which you might have spent half an hour, and it could be your best piece. A lot of my pieces end up that way, or at least the sketches get more favorites and attention than the final products.

"A lot of my pieces end up that way, or at least the sketches get more favorites and attention than the final products."
Sadly I can relate. It's odd how the things we end up spending so much time on somehow looks less and less like we want them to.
ex. often when I'm drawing people, the sketch of their pose looks so much more dynamic and lively than the actual lineart.
the dilemmas of drawing. /sob

I can completely relate to the lineart example :\
For me, I think it's mostly because I miss those little folds of clothing, but there's also more things you can imply in a sketch than a cleaner product?

"but there's also more things you can imply in a sketch than a cleaner product"
Hundred times agreed. It just seems like a sketch has more life, sometimes only because the lines are a bit rougher and more organic.
And those clothing folds, I end up drawing them in the lineart anyway (because I can't resist the temptation) and end up having to erase them while colouring the final product.
