"Hmm. Little demon wanna play huh?" *you walk calmly toward chara. They attempt to slash you, but you just dodge. Your hands come out of your hoodie pockets.*
"You think I'll just let you hit me? Well I'm ready. HIT ME WITH YOUR BEST SHOT. *you dodge a series of attacks as chara hurls the knife at you. You kick the knife from their hands. You grab chara from their shirt.*
"Little demon's tired now huh? Such a let down to. Expected so much more from you. Oh well~ *You pin chara to the wall. You hint at sans, who was resting, to finish them off. Sans rose bones from the wall. Chara turned to dust. You helped sans up.*

*Sans looks down at his feet, pupils disappearing as you voiced his every thought*
"I don't want to be forced through any of thatΒ again. I just wish they could beΒ stopped. I can't keep this up forever, but they can. theyΒ don't care, we're just toys to be worn out and thrown away. and even if we did get our happy ending, you never know when everything would all disappear, when everything would start from the beginning."

We'll figure something out. I can't bear to face the human over and over again, knowing that in the end, they would win. They would kill everyone. Fighting the human with you.. As strong as we are, no matter how many times they die.. They never truly die. And when they don't kill anyone.. They get bored.. They can't settle for a happy ending. And everyone's mind.. Memories.. Are erased except for us.. And them. I can't bear knowing that we'll be in the same room doing the same fights for the same cause. I can't bear.. Watching you die over and over. And then me. We both know that we were walking to our deaths. The human knew as well. I can't see why they'd want to hurt them. Paps, Tori, all of them have been super nice to them. Sometimes I wish the reset erased my memory. Then I wouldn't have to see the same images flash in my mind constantly. π’

*Sans didn't like that look in your eye.* Sans.. Remember your dad? Gaster? He experimented with DETERMINATION. You and I helped him when we were little. If we can get ahold of some,maybe we can get enough to surpass the human's! Look, I know it's crazy. But the kid will just reset anyway. So if we die because of it, then we'll just wake up next reset.. So many times, waking up to the same thing. Monsters screaming in terror.. Orders to evacuate.. I can't take it. I'll use any means necessary to stop this... Child's play.

"we might be able to convince Asgore into letting us borrow the human souls, and then maybe we can get help from Alphys. she probably has a machine somewhere that could help us."Β

"it'll be tough getting Asgore to give us the souls though, he seems pretty protective about them."

Well.. Ugh I hate having to lie to him, but we might have to. We could say we thought there was a better place to protect them.. Or I could use my power.. To convince him. Most call it charmspeak. It helps convince people. Don't worry, I didn't use it on you. I wouldn't use it on a friend. Asgore isn't one you can really consider a friend. He's just so all over the place. We'll figure it out. But this is the ONE thing we can't half-ass this time! *you and sans exchange a small chuckle before planning it out.*

*Notices us aproching*

Asgore can we please take the human souls? We know a safer place for them. *asgore leads you to the human souls without a word. You and Sans use magic to carry the souls. You feel really bad about using charmspeak.*
Sans I'm sorry about using charmspeak.. I've used it once before this. It's probably the only reason I am alive to this point. Well, before the resets. The first time. It saved my life... But it wasn't enough. Not for my brother.. *you and sans kept walking*
Sans: you had a brother? *you nod, and take an item out of your pocket. It was a necklace with a single red gem hanging from it.*
It was his favorite necklace.. And weapon. *with a tap, the gem turned into a 3 foot long red sword.*

"It's okay, most of us down here have powers we're forced to use sometimes."
*They walked in silence for a few minutes*

... You would've liked him. He was pretty funny, cheerful guy. I was older than him, but he was still a good fighter. He was somewhat adventurous.. Always smiling. He was still pretty gullible though. I told him to stay away.. From that FLOWER. Too young to understand how deceptive people are.. Too young to DIE.. Too young to see the wolf behind the sheeps clothing. I'd give anything to see his bright and cheerful face again. *as you walked you pulled a picture from your pocket. You handed it to Sans. "We're almost there, what are we going to explain this to Alphys?"

Alphys: hey guys! Uhhh what are you doing with the souls??
*you used charmspeak.* King Asgore wanted us to bring them here, and conceal them. You can go back to watching anime.
Alphys: I will go back to watching anime... *she walked out of the room.*
Ugh.. I feel bad.. Oh well. It'll be worth it in the end. Let's go.

*Sans watched Alphys go, still a bit weirded out by the charmspeak. They seemed almost robotic or zombie-like. They continued in silence through the lab.*
"It's much creepier than I remember. . ."
*Something caught his eye*
"Hey, I think I found something."

What is it? (And I'm not used to using charmspeak it's weird how it works and stuff..) *you follow Sans. He looks at an object on the ground*

*It's a small box, it seemed to glow faintly in the dim room*
"I just wish stuff was labeled, it would make this so much easier."
*He carefully opened up the top and stuck his hand in*

*suddenly a ball of light shot out of the box. It went everywhere! You tackled Sans as it nearly hit him. It hit you in the back instead of Sans. It left a singe mark where it hit. -10 HP. You now have 30/40 HP.* Aghh! Dammit! Stay down! *you got up. You held your hand up and the ball instantly stopped when it reached your hand. It didn't look like monster. It looked like old magic.. Possibly an old defensive system? You put it back in the box and shut it. You picked up the box.* who knows? May come in handy. *you helped Sans up.*

*Sans glanced cautiously at the box*
"Oh yeah, I forgot Gaster used to keep the most random stuff lying around,"
*Notices your injury*
"You okay?"

Yeah... Just a scratch. Heh. *you lock the box. You and Sans walk further, and the rooms get darker. You summon a ball of light so you can see. Several contraptions are scattered on small tables and the floor.*

*Sans walked to a corner where there were piles of random stuff and started rummaging around, eye glowing so he could see better*
"Heh, now I know why Papyrus would get so annoyed when something was left unorganized. Me and Gaster weren't exactly the cleanest bunch."

Nope. I wasnt either. *you start looking at some projects you recognized, some you, Sans, and gaster didn't finish.* heh. To think you found me when I was 8. To think I helped you guys. I was real lucky to have found ya. Anyway, we should probably get going. The charmspeak will wear off soon, and then people will worry. We gotta get to the core.

"ok, sounds good to me."
*Sans smiled at you and then looked back at the pile. He suddenly froze, his eye glowing more intensely than before. Sans began to slowly back away as a strange scratching sound started coming from the heap of junk.*

*a small monster rose from the heap. It's deformed body, seemingly multiple headed form was so distorted, you couldn't tell what it was. It looked like it was made from other monsters. It lunged at Sans. You jumped in front of him, and the mangy creature tackled you. Sans sidestepped so as to not be brought down too. A giant claw aimed for your face. It instead met your cat-like ear. -3 health. You punched through its soul. It exploded into a cloud of dust. You hear rumbling sounds as you get back to your feet.* urgh.. Sans cmon! More are coming! *despite your bleeding ear, you and sans bolt down the corridor, box still in hands.*

*Sans is sweating fearfully, speaking in between his gasps.*
"Don't worry, I know a shortcut!"
*The next moment we were both completely enveloped in blue magic. Before you could react, you were in Snowdin. Sans collapsed on the snow.*

*you fall to your knees, the blood from your ear turning the snow pinkish-red. You took a bottle of ketchup, added a magic herb or two, and poured some into Sans mouth. He woke up. Your breaths were heavy. Some of the blood from a scratch on your forehead dribbled down your face. Sans didn't feel like getting up, and neither did you. You both were immune to the cold. You both snuggled together in the snow for a nap. But the herb did make Sans an unusually light sleeper, and you were naturally.*

*Sans opened his eyes blearily, catching up his memory with what had happened when his thoughts were suddenly interrupted by a rather angry Papyrus.*
"SANS!"
"yeah, bro?"
"WHERE HAVE YOU TWO BEEN, AND WHY ARE YOU LYING IN THE MIDDLE OF SNOWDIN?!"
"I dunno."
"SANS THAT'S NOT AN ANSWER! AND IF YOU'RE GOING TO BE SLEEPING YOU SHOULD AT LEAST DO IT INDOORS, YOU'RE MAKING FOOLS OF YOURSELVES."
*Papyrus sighs in irritation.*
"SOMETIMES I WONDER WHAT YOU WOULD DO WITHOUT SOMEONE AS GREAT AS ME TO TAKE CARE OF YOU."
*He bent over and carefully picked us up*
"so I guess you could say-"
"OH NO YOU DON'T!"
*Papyrus claps his gloved hand over Sans's mouth, preventing him from finishing the pun. Instead Sans just grumbled into his hand, his words completely lost in the fabric.*

*Sans let out a muffled giggle.*
Pap:uuugh!! Whatever. Let's get you two some food. And no more sleeping in the snow!
Woah. CHILL out paps. We didn't SNOW we weren't supposed too! If it would've snowed much harder, we would've been snowed OUT than.. SNOWDIN!!
Sans: *laughs* SNOW-kidding?
Paps: oh my god. Just.. UGH. *he carries you both back to the house. He makes some spaghetti.*
Pap: The GREAT PAPYRUS HAS MADE YOU DINNER! :3 *you all sit down to eat, and the end of paps scarf ends up on his plate.*
Gee pap, looks like your really SCARFing it down!

*Papyrus groans*
You: "I think we're getting PASTA his limit!"

*Papyrus nearly flips the table but Sans catches it with his magic.*
Sans: "Woah, you may not CHAIRish the puns we've been FORKing out, but don't do anything so SPOONtaneious."
*You both laugh and Papyrus looks like he's going to explode*

Paps: OH MY GOD. GO BACK IN THE SNOW FOR ALL I CARE! *before he left the room, he picked up our plates of spaghetti and dumped it on our heads.*

Well, it's kind of a long story. I kinda taught myself about a month ago.
Sans: well we could split the energy wasted on teleporting if we take turns.
Sounds good. But this time, we gotta be prepared a little more. It may be handy to have a physical weapon as well as magic in case.. That thing shows up or there are more. *you walk into the other room and come back with a blue backpack. You reach in and grab yourself a katana.*
Pick one. :3 (there are no guns in it BTW XD)

*You wonder why you need a weapon if you already have magic but shrug it off, reaching in and pulling out something lightweight, since you literally have no mucles. It's. . . a scythe?*
"How do these things even fit in there?"
*You inspect it more closely. It's small for a scythe, but still, how could you fit a scythe, katana, and other numerous weapons in a single backpack? You chuckle a little, you could probably be mistaken for the grim reaper with this.*
"Heh. I bet I'm lookin' pretty sharpΒ right about now."
(You can change my weapon at any time I don't really care it's just the first thing I could think of for some reason)

Hehehe. Well we don't know whether magic will effect a monster. I've met some before that were immune. You may have to get used to using it. We don't know what those monsters will do. Prepare for the worst, hope for the best.
Sans: what all do ya have in there?
A bunch of stuff. It's a magic backpack my brother gave me before.. That happened.. *your face darkened slightly.* anyway there's a lot of stuff. Like.. This! *you pull put a ketchup bottle out of it. Sans perks up, eyes widened.*
Sans: OOOOOH YAS!! MY FAVORITE KIND!! *you toss him the bottle, and get one for yourself. Ever since Sans showed you what it was, you loved it!*

*You happily snatched the bottle out of the air.Β You both sat in silence for a while as you drank ketchup, seeking to forget everything that had happened. Sans finished rather quickly and set down the empty bottle on the table, letting out a sigh of gratitude.*

*You seem to have relaxed a bit. You glanced at your weapon.*
"Sadly, we should probably get to the pointΒ while we still have the energy."
