thank you so much. these window views are just so satisfying to make, somehow. close to journal making, now that i think of it. maybe it's because i really like combining things. and maybe because they flirt with abstract without being completely abstract, and they flirt with painting without being paintings, and they deal with atmosphere. i guess that's what i do best. or like doing best. which is pretty much the same thing, i think. when you put your heart in something... it seems that's really how it works.

oh, that's good - and true - what you do best is what you put your heart into. of course, a heart that is as skilled with composition and color as yours gets better results when it is put into something than one that is less so!

well, i should talk - i did visual art privately for decades and am still surprised at the compliments i get when i share it.
i think you're right - the tools are there to be learned by someone with something to say.

i'm not kidding. i'm still surprised when i get positive feedback too. i know I'm quite average - i'm not gifted. at all. but when i work hard, i do get better. just a little better - but i learn to be satisfied with that, and to continue. that's the best gift i ever did to myself, actually

yeah, that makes so much sense. you have to get that internal censor to pipe down a bit, or ignore it long enough to get the work done and get it out there.

je réfléchis aux couleurs, ces jours-ci, comme je te disais. dans quelles circonstances je les utilise, à quelles émotions/pensées elles sont associées... et dans quelle mesure ça se généralise (communique). le rose, j'ai découvert que c'est la saveur de l'enfance. quelque chose de doux, doucereux, qui donne mal au coeur à forte dose (le rose bonbon). c'est aussi spécifique aux petites filles; comme c'est important quand on est petit de bien faire la différence entre les sexes!
