Hello there!
This is a project from last year. I found an old doll in my childhood toy box whose hair had already fallen off and decided to give her a whole new look.
Lots of firsts for me in this project. I sewed my first (miniature) dress, drew a new face for her (drawing on plastic instead of paper unsurprisingly needs some getting used to) and even made her a wig out of some colorful pastel wool!

Taking pictures was honestly the biggest challenge for me. I tried to fashion a good background out of a cut-up cardboard box that I painted black... not quite the effect I hoped for, but not the worst. Hope the pretty frames I drew in digitally help distract from the sub-par photography, hehe ^-^

Materials:
- old plastic doll
- small ribbons, white cotton fabric and fabric from an old nightgown for the dress
- pastel rainbow wool for the hair (brushed out with pet brush and straightened)
- fabric glue and thin stretchy fabric for the wig cap (wool-hair glued on top)
- watercolor pencils and acrylic gouache for the face
- matte spray varnish (mine is from the Vallejo brand) to seal in the pencils and gouache
- shiny gloss varnish (from Liquitex) and pearly pink acrylic paint to add details to the eyes and mouth
- small decorative rhinestones meant for nail art to spice up the dress
