I really hate being cynical, but i have little hope for this to come out right. that said, i think its a brilliant move.

quick note about man of steel: its an ok movie. i like the action scenes. i like Henry Cavill as Superman. i like the soundtrack. but all those elements get gimp by some weird pacing and horrible editing. i know there's a better movie in there, waiting for a better editor to save it. also-Zack Snyder, the director known for doing slow mo, in the one movie that would look really cool, and he doesn't use it. what the hell?!

but like i say it was ok. and i figure once this origin story is out of the way they can have a more steady focus on Clark Kent and develop him in the sequel.

NOPE.

they are rushing in with a crossover movie with batman and hes going to take up all the attention.

but i did say is a genius move. evil genius, but still genius. think about it. no matter quality of the final film most people will go just to see this duo team up in the big screen. it can either be surprisingly good, or surprisingly bad, but i will be there day one.

though with their recent decisions it leaves me with less confidence. and Ben Affleck as Batman doesn't really worry me. the fact that they were consulting Frank Miller about this film is my biggest red flag. Frank wrote some of the best batman novels once, but he never knew how to do superman, and in his current insane state, he sure as hell doesn't know "the goddamn batman" anymore (see all Star Batman & Robin) .
