Description So, for starters, I've annihilated the meager spare time I had in the first place by becoming hooked on "Enter the Gungeon," and - quite frankly - this is my favorite game right now, hands-down, no contest. Absolutely a blast.

But - out of sheer boredom - I decided to see what the Invader ZIM cast (at least the main four characters) would look like in the style of this game. So... here we have it! lol

From left to right, we have:

ZIM - I had to round up his head from the default design to make him appear more alien (since he has a tremendous amount of forehead in the show proper), and I made all the "black" parts just dark grey so they wouldn't blend in with the outline.

ZIM in Disguise - for this, I actually copied the Pilot's hair from the videogame, sicne it was so darn similar to ZIM's stupid wig. All I added hair-wise were the two dorky lines on the sides that he has. Eye color was changed, too.

GIR - This one required the most deviation from "Enter the Gungeon's" baseline humanoid design. For starters, I had to make him shorter. I also had to box up his head to add that "robotic" vibe, and then shrink his body further so he didn't look bulky or chubby. Last, his arms were reduced to a single pixel in width. Also, you'll notice GIR is the only one to have an outline where his waist normally would be. This is to give off the impression of his legs beign detached from his body, which they really are, lol.

GIR in Duty Mode - For this, besides the obvious red change - I made his eyes "Angry" and flipped his antenna, to further differentiate between his normal mode and the "Duty" mode.

GIR in Disguise - the eyes are bigger than normal on GIR, of course, to give that derpy dog suit look. I also had to add the stitching, and two stitches didn't strike me as enough, so you'll note the third one is up where the outline normally woudl be. I added it to make it look more correct. Plus I had to make room for the nose. the tongue just was slapped where the outline would've been on his chin area, and his arms' shoulders were removed in favor of making him look more like he does in the show, in disguise.

GAZ - Her hair was fun to do, I'll admit. I added the upward "swoosh" because you'll note that her hair is never symetrical, alwais pointing up one way or the other. Hence adding the swoop. Speaking of hair, I had the curls come up under her ears, instead of covering them, just because it looked better. Her default "eyes closed" expression was easy enought o achieve, lol. Just added an extra pixel to her eyes, and - bam - now she suddenly has them closed. Magic. Her body looked too pudgy at first. It didn't really jive with her character. So I shrunk up her hands and shoulders. Her waistline was replaced with her shirt color so that her dress was more noticeable. This - of course - ends with her tiny little nubs of legs.

GAZ (comic book variation) - For this, I merely changed her shirt color, and pushed her shoulders down a pixel, to make her seem more "relaxed." In the comics, Gaz is less of a monster and more human, so I reflected that here, in the art.

DIB - That hair. So, yeah, I added his obnoxious hairdo, which was easy enough, stopping it high on his head to achieve the signature dorky look he has. I also wrapped up his eyes in a glasses outline, forcing his mouth to go down and his eyes to be a bit further apart, to make room for the outline. But I believe it worked. fro his shirt, I needed to get as much room as possible for the "blank" face. Hence, I shrunk up his hands to leave room for that. His cloak doesn't go down to his feet in the show proper, but I needed to do that here sot hat you could see it at all. Otherwise it just wouldn't be there!

DIB (comic book variation) - Apart from changing his shirt color (which, I know, isn't consistent within the comics, but I did like this style a lot), I naturally made his hair go down to a sane human level. Now it doesnt' look nearly as obnoxious as it does in the animated version, lol. The spike - however - is untouched.

The Process:
After creating these characters, I grew them to 400x bigger than they were, then pasted them (and the "Enter the Gungeon" logo) into GIMP. I centered them up, and put the logo behind them and raised. To help differentiate them from the logo, I added a duplicate layer of the characters, then brightened it until it was just a white mass. This, I blurred, resulting in the glowy outline you see. The logo got the same treatment. Sandwiched between the logo and the characters is a black to transparent gradient. And then, at the very bottom, is a logo mirriored to the bottom, stretched to look like it's part of the floor, and hit with some white lines of varying thickness, to give the appearance of a floor shimmer. THis done, I exported it as a .png, and - boom! - there ya go!

The whole time took probably 30 to 45 minutes, not counting breaks or leaving the computer. Perfect activity for a lazy Saturday evening! lol

This is awesome, I kinda prefer the comic color variation. Now if you need a base to mod the original characters in the game to these, you're all set

Lol, yeh! Playing the game with ZIM as the character. It would actually be strangely fitting, with all the chaos and bullets.

Cool. The only thing that bugs me is the color of Dib's shirt on the last one.

Lol, yeah, it's a like-it-or-hate-it thing, for sure. And thank you! I had fun designing this.
