Description
I realized this morning that I had drawn and colored 9 things of her jrjgioer
(Done in straight ink pen and colored pencil, 12-piece set xP)
----------
And heyyy.
Once again I'm here for my own fun
I've already drawn her before (and it seems I can't go for a minute without having to allude to that one crack pairing that is BlackLatte--her and Mr. Uppercrust!) but I wanted to give her something a little more exclusive? I'm still trying to find the look for her that would work.
As of late I'm totally eyeballing how her lips should be, perhaps small but pouty? A little Angelina Jolie thick?
Then again I was using ink without pencil guidelines
After much deliberation of "stuff" and realizing how much she had a blurry backstory at best (she doesn't even have a damn name but I'm bent on calling her "Vicki Lewis" by my friend StarInsomniac's decision for her GT fanfiction), and because I enjoy God Moding everything with an abyss of actual information... Here we go.
One. I can't believe that she would be the type to be so strong and confident all throughout her life. She's short looking okay; I'm short. And short people (maybe she's the "right height" for Goof Troop Universe girls?) are usually ignored unless they fight their way to light a spark and kindle an inner fire that gives others the message, "Stay away unless I approach you" or "I'm worth something and I'll let you know".
Her hair color, agh it's dyed dyed (yes I wrote that twice); from an earlier deviation titled "I think I know you." with little young Bradley and little young Beret being cute she's got a reddish-brown, auburn type of color; this is her natural shade. And I wouldn't be surprised if the older version of Bradley would want her to wash away all the black cherry (reddish-purple?) dye to see that, again, after many plus years
She's not all bad *Jessica Rabbit reference*, really. Well she's not meant to be a villain after all she ends up with PJ (which is actually an adorable canon pairing I have to say I'm glad that PJ's happy--I'm talking to you PPPSSC!
Beret would be inflicted with just as many girl-type insecurities as the rest of us. Black in my opinion is a power color; being in an outfit away from our comfort zone *points to the strapless yellow dress at the bottom, maybe Beret was in a sort of play in high school or..?* would heighten said insecurities. Gosh only few people can look good in yellow and other really bright spring/summer hues.
And I mean come on the writers totally made her look like a token sex object (for better or for worse but hey Disney-esque smut abounds! Yay for us!
Really if the writers were just more... I wouldn't bother doing this *takes her fanfiction seriously*
..... I want to say that she comes from a very financially stable family. Not as rich as Bradley is (only that he ignores that he has it since he mentally disowns anything that's really his father's) but definitely on par with Pete's family only with a bigger house in a "better" part of town.
Think Sam Manson from Danny Phantom. Yeah; being a rebel in her own subtle ways and following her passion as a poet (still learning) instead of looking into a "real career". Personally I can't see her as an author or writer so...
I wouldn't be suprised if she too had to wear uniforms growing up but (sadly) I only portrayed her in outside-of-school outfits in the upper left corner, covering a bit more of herself (still letting them groodies show) in hopes that people would approach her differently--
I'm beginning to remind myself of the goth chick Germaine from Neurotically Yours
Now how long before the red brunette dyes hair for the first time? In high school, I guess trying to take a whole new direction in life seeing as being the way she was she would have been subjected to objectification for her perceived innocence by guys faster than you can say "oops" (only to be ravished by blah-de-blah later *shot*)--
Anywho, think of this: (brunette) Beret in her Junior or Senior year going on the "wrong side" of town after missing a stop (under a lot of stress after incidents I currently don't know) while taking a nap. She ends up at the terminal and, freaking out for a minute, clutches at her tote filled to the brim with schoolwork, bumps out of the bus staining her uniform on the door ("shit!") and orients herself to her immediate surroundings. The inner city's a-run with "freaks" (hippies, beatniks, pierced/tatooed kiddies what have you); avoiding any physical closeness with any man and woman who would be possibly looking her over in her pleated above-the-knee skirt and pumps, a red? gray? uniform... At some point she gets desperate but suddenly cold.
She needs a hot drink. With luck she comes across a cozy coffee shop and walks to the counter to meet a polite aging man, gray beard, a bit rotund. Grateful that she received a free first-time customer drink (he notices that she's "not from here, are you Miss?"), she glances over her shoulder at an individual perched on top of a creaking stool in front of a meshed microphone, just dishing out some memorized prose. It reminds her of the work she studies in her English class, taking a deeper listen.
For the time spent in the city (then coming back to her place late at night; her conservative parents worried sick), the coffee shop atmosphere was something that would affect her view on the world in profound ways; she felt safe there and decided to look more into the "lowbrow culture" that said inner city provided.
So she dyes her hair a bloody red and takes a smoke occasionally, only to quit on her first year of college (but takes it up again in a version of this one story in my mind, to relieve amounted stress from an arrogant source).
*looks at the angry Beret slapping someone* Heh. *looks at the middle drawing* D8< Gah Bradley stop tickling her!! (
. . . I tried to take away any resemblance via layering on the violet on her touseled hair, but I--
My Freudian brain is going in a cOmPlEtElY wRoNg direction with that one; I'll just go ahead and think of that other doodle (that will NEVER be uploaded on deviantART lest I run the risk of being "suspended" lol) that takes said disturbing resemblance away
>___> Don't mind me I'm strange.
On a lighter, yellowish orange note, Beret finds it a welcome relief that PJ, out of all other men (yeah he's a MAN, wonderful and sensitive to her needs for affection) actually finds her attractive, but not just on looks (really minimal element actually) but on her for who she is. She sees him just the same, deeper than the surface (would PJ remind her of the man at the counter in the coffee shop?).
They can just engage in non-sexualized conversation without a problem; they're bright individuals and they complete each other in a positive-direction-in-life way. I don't want to say that Brad's the polar opposite, but he does tend to drag her down (in more ways than one) due to his own severe emotional dependency, and then some.
On her own, of course she'd be engaged in something/just about anything to read while the world dissipates around her.
... You're still wondering about her in the men's shirt, tie and slacks aren't you??
Well. Just look at the horrendously colored blood-red silk sheet she's sitting on, where oh where could she be? If a guy wears women's clothing to arouse himself he's considered a "transvestite", no? So what do you call a girl getting a kick out of getting into men's clothes for the same?? (please don't say "lesbian"
Actually I want to say that Beret wants control over the situation having a serious case of penis envy (I'm looking at you neo-feminists, again!) and feeling a "need" to play both roles of male and female whenever her mind does swim to that "left field" / id area.
psst! She only does this in secret and someone else usually isn't too happy when guests go rummaging through his things
I'll leave you with that titillating information as Beret Girl sticks her tongue out at no one in particular at some weird fancy-schmancy dinner party. Family / Friend bonding time yay!
For now, Ciao~~!

Oh cool! I got a shout out! (I wonder how many of these I may have missed just by not looking at every single one of these...)
...You're just trying to lure me into starting another conversation with you, aren't you? (I wish that the "tinfoil hat" icon on the TV Tropes forum was available here...)
Well, whether that was your intent or not... it worked.
Now, don't blame the writers for making her into a "token sex object." That is on the animators. It just, it kind of annoys me when people treat her that way in spite of how she was written; e.g. saying she'll turn into a porn star. (Of course, Peg gets even more of that crap.) Agreed she needed more screentime though.
Don't worry about the "Papa Dog" thing. Just like when PJ said he felt like a cat in a dog pound, Max said he hated dogs and Pete said he hated cats, these characters are 100% convinced they're humans.
I think you assessed PJ's feelings pretty well. I don't think he would have reacted any differently had she been overweight and sloppy (like me... okay, but someone would still need the nerve to ask someone else out...). Though in a sense I'm kind of glad they went the "they don't look like each other" route because if they did look alike it would just reek of token shipping...
...Of course, I still have no problem wondering aloud how the hell Pete got such a MILF...

Aren't ya flattered? x] (I'll randomly give shout outs as I go along commenting on my work heh heh!)
I sure am, I think (I've heard of tinfoil hat before..)
Do you have any idea what I'm referring to about said not-intention in that drawing in the middle? I want to make sure we're on the same page
All right then Blame the animators! Now I feel bad 'cause I wanna be an animator
Beret Girl a porn star?? I cannot see that AT ALL. (Lisa from the first Goofy Movie? Sure... I guess xDD)
Peg Peg Peg, spends a lot of fan time getting pegged I try my very hardest not to stare
More screentime for character development!
what Max hates his own kind so typical *shot*
Really now? I'll have to keep that in mind... I'm sorry they'll forever be animals in my eyes xP *tries to suspend reality for the moment*
I'm glad that my assessment works for you (Looking out for that special someone are ya?). Token shipping? I've heard of it before..
Maybe he was more love-vulnerable and less of a jerk back then? Or he was a jerk nonetheless but saved Peg somehow *rambles*

Of course I was flattered, silly. (That's cool.)
I knew it! (Tinfoil hat = conspiracy theory, lol)
I guess not... I was referring to whether or not it was your intention to lure me into starting another conversation with you. I uh... reread the part on the middle panel hoping I could say "yes", but now I'm even more confused.
Well, maybe I'm just defensive of the writers because I want to be a writer.
Neither can I. Obviously, not everyone who is hot has to be a porn star, or else why would Peg be a mom and real estate agent? ( Yeah, I wouldn't put it past her. But I think she'd probably have more fun being a stripper.)
I get a little tired when most of the fanart is either of Maxanne or Peg pinups.
So does Pete. Oh, wait, we knew that already, didn't we? Ahem... I mean, "He loves his own kind, he just can't show it right."
"Furry Denial" is the phenomenon of anthropomorphic animals claiming to be humans and "Petting Zoo People" are anthropomorphic animals with human-like behavior (e.g. wearing as many clothes as you would expect a human to) and skeletal structures.
Disney anthropomorphic animals are highly prone to Furry Denial, especially when they are Petting Zoo People.
No actually, I think PJ is a shallow brat who only wanted her because she was hot. (
)
He probably was less of a jerk back then, or he just tried to hide it around her more intently.

Oh.. okay.
*cough! cough!* That's okay >///>;; You don't have to figure that out--I was just commenting to myself about Beret like that reminding me of someone else.
I'm defensive of animators and writers
I know right? (Fine then Lisa the stripper xDD)
I actually haven't seen enough Maxanne Proportionate to the other crack pairings out there in the GT Universe. I don't mind the Peg pin-ups much
I have to remind myself that she's got kids lol..
Yeah, that
Furry denial huh? Not under my watch >8D *goes to make a fun sadistic dog remark from an earlier deviation* (aww~~)
I guess, eh heh... knowing that she could have been Goofy's wife

Alright, as long as I wasn't expected to...
Me too, lol.
Plus I don't think anyone who wanted to become a porn star would go out of their way to ask out a guy who a) isn't conventionally attractive, b) doesn't seem experienced, and c) comes with a ton of baggage. (Because gleaning characterization for a character with three lines is AWESOME!)
That's weird since most of the GT fanart I don't specifically look for (i.e. PJ-related stuff) comes from your Goof Troop-Max Bradley group...
...I might just be sad there's not more PJ fanart.
I do perhaps wonder how terms like "bitch" and "pussy" would change in baggage in their universe. Maybe they're racist. Speaking of which... have you seen the video "Goofy Racist"? It's funny enough, but the funniest part is the people who think it's real, lol.
She could have been. Lots of people ship it, too. And then there are the people who say Peg is an awful wife because she tries to protect Goofy from Pete's manipulation and disapproves of Pete manipulating people behind her back.

:'< *sniffing at sad resemblance* I'm so sorry other character in my head!
This is true, lol. Surely if she were going to be she'd find someone with connections and/or lots of dough (characterization in dynamics in awesome!!)
Well when I said Maxanne I was referring to the more hardcore stuff There's less of that than I thought there would be *killed*
You're right; there needs to be more PJ fanart >___> And PJxBeret art too (actually an earlier piece of mine was practically the first fanart of said canon pairing on here--obviously it would be superseded by a master fanservice artist eventually )
Goofy Racist? You mean in history talking about the character Goofy or something else entirely?
I don't understand how that's a bad thing for Peg to do
Max having Peg as his mother *dies of left-field thoughts, again*

Yeah. Like Bradley...
Oh, I see... yeah, I was counting pretty much everything that had both Max and Roxanne and no one else in it.
I'd gladly draw P-Ret myself but I don't think I can do my mental images justice...
I mean this: [link] . Actually a pretty clever use of manipulative editing. Though my horribly sadistic brain clings to one specific meaning of the word "gone."
Someone was trying to say it made her "unfaithful to her marriage vows." Though, I can't see Peg going along with everything Pete does without making me think she was a terrible mom (and thankfully she isn't).
He does have more in common with her than with Goofy.

Oh my gosh I remember watching that show!
They mention racism in there oh kdffjf??!
Gone? Why??
What the...? I think the point of being married was to make each other better people not letting them harm others to get their way?

See that's the beauty of it. She pretends to be innocent, and then...
PJ: You two better stop objectifying my girlfriend or I'll say some things that aren't very nice about you to Max when you're out of earshot! Umm...
as long as that's okay with you...
I guess Marsden's character's dad was racist; I don't really know, I'm going off hearsay.
Well we all know how much my mind likes killing PJ. (I guess it thinks he's too good for this sinful earth.)
You'd think that but... people are strange... especially the people trying to convince me Pete is in the right. It'll never work though. I concede mitigating factors and redeeming qualities, but that's it.

She's innocent enough, yes. But "porn star" version...
I'm not actually sad. Everything up through that frowny face was still "in-character." But I wouldn't complain about more stuff of them anyway.
Hey, my mind doesn't think killing PJ is the only solution! It likes to involve the child protective services too... especially with PJ running up and hugging agents that come to his door who respond with, "That's... not a good sign." Or Pete doing something REALLY awful and getting arrested for life/death; in those cases I usually have to make it a dream or the result of some evil magic because it stops being plausible... Of course, this is all AU stuff anyway (apart from my interpretation of the canon and my Spoonergang in 2024 series).
Hey, at least I can take comfort in knowing that these are the minority opinion, if the top comments on Goof Troop videos are anything to go by.

lol Then I shall do it xP
Hee hee hee hugging the Social Services Oh my gosh I'm actually laughing at my computer monitor right now sounding like a weirdo I have weird laughs x'DD

Hey, I'm just playing the devil's advocate here, lol.!
Really, there's a lot of things my brain includes in potential visits including:
* Pete trying to hide PJ under a sheet so the "evil baby-snatchers" won't see him.
* PJ having a huge tome that describes every single bad thing that Pete ever did to him (on-screen, off-screen, before the series, and anything between the series and when this happened) in vivid detail and handing it over saying, "Here, read this."
* Pete telling PJ what is happening and why he needs to panic, resulting in PJ getting a big goofy grin (pun not intended but accepted with open arms).
* Pete claiming that PJ is lying before he says anything
* And my personal favorite... Pete begging PJ to lie and PJ says, "Nope" because he knows it'll be over soon...
Though I know that there is a very good reason they never showed up... because if they did, there would be no more PJ ever again. In fact the Social Services Does Not Exist page pretty much says as much:
"There's a simple reason for this with the consistently abusive parents - the abuse is a big part of the series or movie, and if Social Services did step in and take the kids away, they'd probably never let them go back."
For some reason, one thing I sometimes think of is "edible powdered evil", which PJ and Goofy think tastes like crap--though only PJ's willing to say it--Max thinks is pretty bland, and Pete thinks is really good but gets better every day. Meanwhile, PJ falls further and further into hell and he can't explain why... (You gotta have AUs! )

Bobby: DON'T BREAK THE FOURTH WALL! Jeez, and I thought you were the serious one.
(Oh boy an old running gag resurfaced! You probably haven't seen me say it yet. Though it wasn't originally meant to be said by Bobby, but another rambunctious character talkling to his reserved foil.)
Hey, come on, even I give him more credit than that! ...I'm sure he sees his son as at least 2% more than a cash cow/unpaid labor.
No Rob Paulsen... or he could just play all the extras.
Mmm-mmm. Good.
Was it Bradley-related?
PJ: I just don't get it. I thought my dad would be happy that I don't want to eat the thing he thinks is the most delicious thing ever, because, hey, more for him. But he's gotten worse and worse, and now I'm spending every waking moment afraid I'm going to die. Max, I beg you, PLEASE let me hide at your house. I'm scared...

Bobby: Oh, fine.
(I wouldn't expect you to know. Some secondary Fire Emblem characters. But "the serious one" complained about the other speaking in 72-point type, which prompted the "DON'T BREAK THE FOURTH WALL!" comment...in 72-point type, until the "Jeez, and I thought you were the serious one").
I learned recently when he was answering who the most obscure character he was ever asked about was that he played this one strange one-shot villain on Teen Titans, "The Source" (of Newfu)--who had stuck with me for some strange reason. I guess I know why now. (Maybe; I wouldn't know; I don't know most of the voice actors on either show.)
I knew it. (Is "Xam" the assumed name of fully corrupted Max?
)
That's what eating too much edible powdered evil does...
What's really awesome bad is that we're both tropers, so if we're not careful the entire Goof Troop page looks like " PETE GO DIAF!
IT'S OKAY PJ WE LURVE YOU!!"
Well, PJ fan, so actually probably the reason they think he's so horrible is because he has a family. You've read their work before, I know.

(It's okay, I was just totally obsessed with Fire Emblem for a really long time. These were probably characters even casual fans of that series wouldn't remember. But it was part of these really dumb things my brother and I used to write...) I fail at life for not hearing the resemblence. Damn distortion. (Well, y'know, Pooh and Robotnik.

Kay, so I guess I was close? ...It didn't really sound like a name you chose, honestly.
Well, as you know, my idea of justice for Pete is for him to lose all contact with his son. I certainly wouldn't wish him a fate like... in "that thing." Unless we're talking about the "what if maincanon!Pete was PJ's father" AU involving dungeons and whatnot... (no, not THAT kind of dungeon! Now, was I spot on or is my mind in the sewer?)

(What really dumb things?? Now you got me curious)
Nah it's okay; I confuse my dad all the time, "How do you even know it's the same person??" I guess my siblings and I trained ourselves to pick up the subtleties in inflection; a laugh or a scream could give it away.
(That still boggles my mind; Bennett though my gosh he's on opposite ends of the spectrum! Johnny Bravo AND Petrie of all living things from the 2nd Land Before Time fgjfdgirir and Bradley in between squee! *regulates fangirl mode*)
Yeah maybe; I'd like to keep him as a separate character most of all but whatever
Well at least you got that right; like I said I myself can't grasp it real well but I'll say it just to stay in good-standing with the cult followers xDD I guess that'd work in the human world.
I wouldn't wish him that either 'cause I like him too much; hey a villain!
Wait what dungeon now o///o *killed for mind going WAY left field* (Jackie Chan as Lee, Rush Hour 3 bloopers: "I like the one with the prison scene!")
Ah I see. That one was still nuts in my opinion (yes ME "the mistress of all evil" finds it unplausible *no more Maleficent* >___>)

You probably wouldn't even get them. They were like "scripts" except no one actually had their name written next to their lines, because we'd always remember forever who said what--and then I reread them some time later and had no idea who a lot of the people I included were. Honestly, this running gag was pretty much the only thing worth preserving in hindsight...
No, but I feel so bad because I learned to listen for Rob when he mentioned voicing Carl Wheezer on some Nick special which led me in... other directions.
(Need a villain? Call Jim. An anti-hero? Call Jim. An unsympathetic comedy protagonist? Call Jim. A... harmless teddy bear? .........CALL JIM! Yeah, yeah, well we all know for me Jeff is on the Johnny ->Samson and Raj -> Bradley scale instead.)
Well, don't worry though because nothing involving the edible powdered evil is even remotely close to "canon"... though I suppose it could be considering "Talent to the Max." (Feels sorry for PJ again incessantly...)
Protecting PJ is my directive; torturing Pete to death would be overkill.
Spot on, then? My mind's in the gutter where it belongs! (Not the sewer!!)
Some creepy dungeon that Pete keeps PJ permanently imprisoned in until Mickey and the others come to save him... in this AU Max just spotted him one day and kept sneaking him extra food through the window. But I want to make it perfectly clear this is NOT Goof Troop Pete; this is the classic villain version, just with a PJ.
I dunno. It was maybe kind of an overestimate, but it was really only the peripheral elements I found implausible (like Pete abusing Peg, for instance).

Huh.. Well at least you had a thing for writing before polishing it up; not many people write for fun per se.
Carl Wheezer; what a fun lad xP
(Need a singing step-in for Anastasia's Rasputin and Lion King's Scar? Call Jim! I thought it was cute knowing he did Raj's voice, Bennett I mean.. and Baloney )
Aw darn *snaps fingers* Still need to see that one *pat pat
*
Indeed over-kill
Sure, lol. My mind was already in the gutter for as long as I can remember
Classic villain Pete keeping AU PJ in the dungeon, whoa... Is this in modern times or fairy-tale time??
Pete abusing Peg would be impossible (Peg would totally beat him to a pulp with something and toss him out the front door, "And don't come back!! *throws badly packed luggage cases*")

I've been writing crazy stories since I was five, man. (A kids' book called "Jonny and the Giant" where the giant tried to eat Jonny, and thought he tasted gross so they became friends).
He would LOVE the internet. Llama badges here, the Llama Song, etc. Don't know how he'd react to Llamas with Hats though . I honestly thought it was a Jimmy Neutron Show-within-a-Show when I first heard about it.
(Well, obviously he does villain substitutions too. And replacements. I was listening to a bunch of samples of the voices Pete has had over the years--Jim's gotta be the best one, though. *is not biased in the slightest * But damn that Bennett boy's a sound chameleon... what's really cool is that the musician Jeff Beck is also a sound chameleon.)
You do! Best Max episode! And certainly not because it has significant PJ-episode elements... >_> <_<;
No kill like overkill!
More inspired by fairy tales. This particular incarnation has a big ol' castle. He didn't originally want to lock PJ up, but to train him to be a villain. Once he realized PJ didn't want to be a villain, Pete decided to repeatedly torture him until he changed his mind (which he never did, just... well, let's just say the PJ we know and love is a giant ball of sunshine compared to this version) and I was gonna write a whole story on this but couldn't get into the heads of some of the other Classic Disney Shorts characters as easily.
That is what would happen, totally. I don't think it would be impossible; OOC moments happen all the time. But once it's OOC, it's definitely implausible.
I think I worded it badly last time; yes, I found the degree unlikely since I don't think that Pete physically abuses PJ more than if it fits at least one of the following criteria:
* It's quasi-accidental
* It's not seriously harmful
* It's in retribution for a crime that Pete considers to be horrible
* It's a spur-of-the-moment thing he instantly regrets or regrets after a day or two if he was really pissed off.
* Pete is in an eviler form for some reason.
* See other comment
But taken action-by-action, I can see Pete doing any of those things to PJ at one time or another. He can be pretty damn mean-spirited.

Hey at least you got the drive early on. I don't think I took drawing seriously until I was in my last year of elementary school.. I threw out quite a bit of my old stuff and I regret that =/
(Sounds like a funny story!)
Carl and his llamas Huh..
(Jim is the best one lolol sound chameleons are awesome )
*goes to set it up, said episode*
Is PJ even more "depressing" in this fairy tale version??
I wish you could expand on that idea; intriguing intriguing.
OOC moments really get to me when people obviously like to lean on one side of the fictional argument (siding/defending always with the protagonist but never giving the antagonist a chance to "speak") Sorry what I just said makes no sense (2 disconnected ideas in one sentence )
Yeah, looking all that criteria over, makes sense.
... I always thought that the first Toy Story was kinda mean-spirited And that's why today I happen to enjoy it more~~

I used to draw more when I was in middle school. I've done so less in recent years, while my sister has gotten much better. (Yeah, it was. I apparently still had it somewhere in my house a few months ago, and hopefully still do.)
(Yep.)
Poor thing's jumpy around Mickey Mouse.
I know I have that problem, especially when said protagonist is my favorite. I think it annoys me more when the "antagonist" is actually relatable. Or didn't actually do anything wrong.
Frosty the Snowman was a glorified hat thief. ~
(But yeah, not quite the same issue as OOC moments, unless you mean the universe is OOC. Which probably made no sense, lol.)
Yeah. Well I know the first two are true because I've seen them, and the third and fourth are implied to at least be a real possibility for PJ, if not something that has actually happened offscreen.
Yeah, you mean to Woody or to Sid? (Looking at the fact I need to ask that, probably both.)
It's pretty great.

Your sister? Cool (I enjoy the old classics of odd)
I saw the episode.. lolol Max was already involved with the supernatural; it only affirms my direction with said story
What's jumpy around Mickey Mouse??
Frosty's a hat thief
I prefer villains over heroes so in that case I'm crazy biased and always needing to relate to all the characters in some way..
OOC Universes are strange xDD
Huh....
In general the movie's mean-spirited in different ways, I guess you can point at Woody for flying into a jealous rage; Sid's just a crazy little kid xP

I love how whenever Max decides to be an ass to PJ, Goofy says, "Are you sure you want to do that?"
The traditional villain Pete version of PJ... Mickey unlocked the dungeon and he flinched and said "Please don't hurt me!"
I prefer sidekicks over either. Especially the sympathetic ones as opposed to the funny ones. But you know that already...
I meant that the movie was mean-spirited to Woody (because no one ever believed him when he told the truth) and Sid (because even though he's a "sadist", he doesn't think the toys are alive and when he learns that they are he's probably traumatized forever... though I guess he seemed okay enough in his cameo in TS3).

Oh, oh my now I have to see a written thing on this
Sidekicks are cool too and I understand they're crazy underappreciated
Oh my gosh yes I was the only one in the group (to watch the movie in theatres) to realize that was Sid boy all grown up
Yeah you're right... Regardless, I loved the fight between Woody and Buzz

Uh, Max. Have you met PJ? An example of something filtered through PJ's brain from my favorite episode: Pete thinks Max is smart --> Pete thinks PJ is an idiot --> PJ is an idiot.
Sorry, I never finished one and I probably won't... still have twinklings of ideas though.
Seriously. It's not the "cool" thing to like them, or something. Disney totally wrecked my body image because they never show competent, sympathetic, relatable fat characters. Not ever. *cough*

Goofy does. Well more like cuddles him at the shoulder, and touches his nose affectionately and he starts smiling AWWWWWWW adorableness!
! *Gets buried in cuteness* ...I will never not find that scene adorable.
Yeah. Sidekicks are the best.
PJ's the best example, yeah, but I also appreciate Merryweather, Mikey, and Chien Po (well, in the first movie. Not the sequel where they derailed him like crazy. ) I like their portrayals for the most part.

jggrgi That does sound cute In the most platonic way possible.
I don't think Max would let his father get that close, I don't think..
Merryweather (Sleeping Beauty?) is awesome xDD
Chien Po from Mulan yes? (they derailed just about every character ) M-hm!

I did see a NON-platonic story about those two on ff.n at one point, but it has since been deleted.
Well, if affection were food Max'd be overfull to the point of indigestion and PJ would be starving to death. It makes sense that PJ would be more eager for some than Max would.
She totally is. Between her and PJ I'm pretty sure Disney told me "It's okay to look and act the way you do." Which is the exact opposite of what I've been told happened. By people who are unfairly biased against sidekicks. I actually really liked Sleeping Beauty because the "sidekicks" were actually the main characters.
Yeah! Love him! (I could go on and on about that, but with Chien Po my point was he went from a gentle giant who happens to be a big eater, which I find funny on a fat character, to being obsessed with food, which I find annoying on a fat character, and nothing else. And it actually did bother me that his girlfriend was thin just because she seemed to be obsessed with food too.)
That was awesome.

You are correct on that note, gah. Hence I make Brad take it away despite the relative "closeness" him and Max share
*offers edible affection in the form of exotic fruit to PJ*
Is that message positive or negative?
They mentioned that in some reviews and I guess even the animators..?

Crack Pairing entry on TV Tropes for Goof Troop (that I didn't write): In the darker depths of the fandom, everyone is paired with everyone regardless of age or blood relations.
Now, I don't understand why people would ship on the show in the first place since it's about families. With children. (The movies make more since because they're less family-based and feature more potentially sexual beings.)
*PJ nibbles it gingerly, not sure it's really his.*
Positive, I think.
Wait, they mentioned which in the reviews? The Sleeping Beauty "sidekicks are main characters" thing?
(Chubbier or more of a different character.)

Then again it's nothing but fiction that got exploited via big-name company

PJ: Sorry. I was really hungry. *petite ladylike burp* Here, have some yourself. *PJ provides you with a huge pile of exotic fruit/edible affection*.
Well, all three of them have basically the personality "I am in a relationship with [character]." Now, Max has a personality, so some of his rubbed off on Roxanne. Just a bit. Aurora and Philip on the other hand, lawl.
Know-it-all leader, chipper ditzy sweetheart (female Goofys!), and stubborn cranky one. (When I'm not being exactly like PJ, I'm being stubborn and cranky like Merryweather lol. I guess Disney thinks I like to wear blue... I actually wear mostly black. )
