"Please...Neddy..please.." Izzy cried out, fully aware that Neddy's ears were deaf to the cry of mercy.
"Yes....?" he laughed, smiling at her. He had a slightly crazed look, the look of the damned and deprived.
"Just let me go....I can't do anything...you...you left me," Izzy sobbed.
Neddy hadn't slept in days. But did that matter? Why, he was on the verge of insanity. During the chaotic battle, Izzy was knocked out, unconcious--it was then that he made his move. Stealthily ferrying her across perilous ground, he managed to hide her in his secret cave.
It was his fault, yes, but what did that matter? She drove him wild. This was the best way, perhaps. Keep her caged, so she could no longer do any damage to his heart. Neddy laughed, why, in fact, he had not such a clear mind in days. What did it matter if his heart became muted in the process?
"Let me go Neddy...what else can I do? KD--"
"Don't say that name!" Neddy spat, hissing at her. He looked beyond sane reason, beyond any of her pleas.
She glowered at him, fed up with being patient.
"You're insane! I hate you--"
Slap!
"Oh Izzy..." Neddy sighed calmly. He gazed at her, confidence brimming in his shining, glimmering eyes.
"Hush now, everything will be okay," he continued in a sing-song tone, tilting her head as he spoke.
The harsh stinging was cooled by her tears, but she only could gasp as Neddy's wild green met her timid brown. What was she thinking? Did she love him any more? He was doing her a favor, of course. How could she not see how much pain he had sacraficed just for her to be here, in his grasp? Did she hate him as much as he hated her? The selfish Peridain, so called Ice Caster to save all of humanity. Any story's heros always seem to have a weakness in their hearts. It was all too easy.
He swiped his hand quickly against her gentle dark brown hair, remembering it's texture from distant, hazy memories through his clouded insanity.
"Neddy," she gasped, the bonds tight and unforgiving upon her.
She looked away from him, unable to return the look he was giving her.
But of course, he needed nothing else.

I wonder if anyone can see any resemblence to part one..and I'm not talking about the artwork. This is sort of a vent, but unrelated to what I'm upset about. NeddyxIzzy is one of the most intresting relationships I've ever come across, which is why they are so intriguing. I love writing their scenes together.
But enough of what I think.
