Description
Commission for Sibera, the character is a normal tiger, no special features.So it's easier to me to draw him during my work time.
However I feel tired to draw anything complex with Photoshop, Flash is a faster tool to me now. XP

I'm not saying you are, that's why I said, i'm sure you can understand. I've been noted by a couple folks too. won't say names cuz I don't fight like that but I have. So I'm just frustrated. tried noting J-C even and asking her to call off the dogs or something, no response. So pretty much, i'm losing partience for anyone that contacts me over this matter. catch me on a different topic. you might like me better then, but over this, i'm about done with it. nothing personal, but that's where it stands. I will be much more cautious who I comment on and what I say in the future and I won't say a damn thing to this person again. *shrugs* so please just drop it, ok?

hay'a just to let you know my old mate sibera there (who i've know for alost 8 years) came up with that fursona well before that movies release.
so in truth we could argue the charcter is a rip of his own.

so all similarity is only by chance. after all kaze has a very bland design, way to simplistic. so just about any anthro tiger is going to look like him.

I agree. I never said there was a rip off. all I said was be careful because other people might get the misconception because it is similar. Dude, I fully agree and have from the beginning of this whole thing. I was just trying to be nice by pointing it out in a friendly, non-threatening way. No worries. There was really, no offense meant from me and that's why I was so stunned at the defensive response I got. I never once said anyone ripped anyone off. I always figured it was just coincidence. I just don't want anyone to get accused of anything other than that so I brought it up as a simple point to be considered, that the design is similar and could be mistaken for that character, that's all. I meant no offense but you certainly seemed to take offense and so yea, I was a little shocked. I was trying to point out something is all I was doing.

For one thing, I'm just taking this commission from my commissioner, anything related to the character designs, features is not what I should question. The most I can do is remind him that his required character is tad like blahblahblah someone.
For another, a tiger with a katana= kaze, then almost all ninjas in Japan will be accused by Hattori Hanzo for copying his ninja outfit? Or someone born before you have a very similar look then should he/she accuse you for stealing his appearance? Nah i guess. The design of Kaze the tiger is too simple so any striped cats who have the habit of carrying a katana on his back will be looking like him. And just because the author released a DVD doesn't mean he's the very first one who drew a tiger samurai in that way. So should we notify the one that came up with the idea of Tiger+katana before Albee to sue him for stealing the idea?
Doesn't mean to be rude, but if anyone really has an issue about this character, it's the commissioner they should go after, not me. Plus it's an excuse that can hardly be defined as reasonable.

No need to get so bent out of shape. I never said anything about notifying anyone. what I said was for your consideration. it's not just a tiger with a Katana. It looks almost exactly like him, from his build, to his clothing. everything. I was saying it nicely because I did not want you to have to catch flack from people who may not be nice about it. I also made note that your arguem,ent is valid. Did I not say that Kaze's design was too simple and that the similarity could then just be coincidence? I believe I did. I FULLY acknowledged that it might be just that the designs are too simple and that might explain the similarities. I never said ANYTHING about lawsuites, and I NEVER even eluded to you ripping him off. I just commented on the similarities.
I'm not trying to be rude myself but it sounds like you were a bit miffed by my statement. maybe you should go back and read what I said and realize that I said it with the stand point of simply help you out, not accusing you. You might also make a note that I said I liked it and faved it! So obviously I meant no hostility in this!
You know, I love your work. It's brilliant. I don't want to think of you as a person that has to be a reactionary and bite heads whenever someone gives you an honest critique, but that is exactly what I feel your response is. I've watched you a long time and I must say, i'm dissapointed. I thought higher of you. So chill out a bit, man...wow.
