Because Digimon in the US of A needs to be Kid-Friendly and that only. Reasons why we never get good Digimon games from Japan with serious nature, blood, slight sexual tones and whatnot.
I call that BS on monopolizing the sales marketing to kids only!

I don't think that's the reason this time. J-Fujita isn't from America. So he's probably talking about a Japanese game. But a lot of times it's about doing what you're expected to do by the public eye. If the public expects "kid-friendly" that's what companies have to do. So it's less about monopolizing and more about doing what they're supposed to do based on the majority.

Because Renamon is considered OP? I don't know but she was quite strong in the anime so that could be the reason.

I don't know she was in digimon rumble area 2 (PS1) and she seemed fairly balanced ( her diamond storm attack is as slow as goku's kamahamaha)
