Description I love the idea of a Martian colony, the rusty colors, the dust, the blue collar industrial look is really appealing to me. The bottom two images came out of an idea I had for how homes could be built cheaply in the future, by stacking prefab pods on top of each other to build a custom structure. Here, the owners have followed the old Roman villa plan, with an interior courtyard surrounded by rooms/walls. This serves as a functional, and defensible home. Gotta keep those Martian raiders at bay you know.

Uuuuu. Me encanta la colonia de Marte tambiΓ©n. Sin duda, su idea es increΓble. Ahora tenemos que ver si esta estructura puede sobrevivir a una tormenta de arena marciana gigante.

LOL. Sorry for the last comment, i forgot to write in english. what i'm trying to say is . "I really really love the mars colony too. Definitely your idea it's amazing. Now we need to see if this structure can survive to a giant martian sand storm." Greetings.

Mar's atmosphere is too thin to create a sandstorm like what was shown in The Martian. The sand storm are no greater than dust kicked into the air.

Your work continues to inspire me in its contrast and elegant composition. I appreciate how well thought out each of your concepts and objects are...you're more than a visual artist, my friend: you're a story teller. Thank you for sharing your visions with us.

Thanks so much; I'm trying to tell a story with each piece, so I'm glad you noticed.

There should be something like this for real, by now.
Most of it can be done by soft landing pods, and robots to do some of the grunt work to get it up and running before the Earth Monkeys suit up for the trip.

I did something similar a while ago, using hexagonal modular buildings and link corridors that could be stacked together. Yours is somewhat nicer looking, I have to say, and probably a bit more practical.

The second reminded me of some old Garry's mod forts I'd make from shipping containers. Sadly, they were not connected on the inside, like your pods here (which is an awesome idea, btw).

Stupid Martian Raiders.
I love the design, and the rusty colors with black.
