Lines for my latest drawing venture...Haven't posted my line art for a while, but since this will take a bit to color I thought I would share it with you all

I have a few weeks holiday, so am able to find time each morning over a couple of coffees. I only have a few hours before Iβm done, so have to make the most of it π

Oh, I like it ... that's the way it used to be for me here before work. Β An hour or so of work so I could get a little done each day. Β

I'm often up early which used to drive whomever was with me that morning ... me getting pop between 2 and 4 am and then puttering around in the kitchen for the first bit of coffee Β and then into the office for some work. Β This started back when I was going to SCAD and cost me a lot of relationships. Β Nowadays, being single is something I figure I'm going to be for a long time, probably forever, but that's ok too. Β But I got a lot of the character model sheets and much of the foundation work done between 2007 to about 2011 or so that way. Β I got lucky with this job where I can get in early and get a lot of work done ... and then I get a bit of work done on stories mostly these days, though I want to try and get back to drawing too. Β

I can appreciate that, though I'm not quite at the 2-4am stage haha. More like 5-5:30am. You should definitely get back into drawing, but I understand that it's something that has to be felt not forced

Oh, I want to ... a friend of mine pointed out that I was much happier when I was drawing, doing the artwork I wanted, instead of paying for it. Β While I appreciate the work from the artists I have commissioned over the years, I like doing the work myself, but the way I have been ... a twixt and tween with dealing with the healing process of my ankle which was probably more serious than I let on, the renovation here at the Firm I work for, and just being stretched thin ...I allowed myself to excuse myself and just deal with one thing at a time. Β Slowly, things are working out though. Β
