Yet another 'Slave Leia' piece, perhaps my most ambitious yet! Another Christy Marie likeness. The Titles were actually an afterthought, if you can believe it, but fit in real well and made the entire thing just come together!Faber-Castell PITT artist Pens (Mostly S, XS and the fat B!) for the blacks & line-work, Warm Gray Copics for the marker shading, Sharpie Poster-Paint Extra Fine Point for the white highlights, using cut 14 x 17 Borden & Riley #234 PARIS BleedProof paper for Pens.

I love STARWARS, especially some of the fine erotica out there. Β This is really one of the best I've seen. Β I have often wondered what was going on in Jabba's palace while the action was taking place in some other part of the galaxy. Β I've always imagined Jabba's big, wet raspy tongue traveling all over Leia's body. Β I'm sure the Hut had a very talented tongue...very well done.

The fact you don't see all of Jabba provides an imposing scale relative to Leia, and speaks visually to his power as slavemaster and criminal lord, ruler of his grimy and decadent domain.
Leia's submissive kneel, with hands limply draped at her sides, gives the impression she has (for the time) accepted her chattel status and makes no trouble.
Jabba, ever the authority, pulls the chain taut, straining Leia's balance in a toying yet not-so-gentle reminder of her status.
Her eye contact with the viewer emotes the constant plea she makes to every visitor to the palace: HELP ME!; though her look of resignation shows little hope that any is coming.
Two other things:
1) Anyone who's read "The Handmaid's Tale" will recognize the significance of the bright red loincloth covering her womanhood. Freudian and symbolic, it's the only splash of color in the picture.
2) The title graphics are classically Art Nouveau, giving the picture the feel of an Alphonse Mucha poster. The color splash highlights the word-in-a-word, "slav", a collective European ethnicity of which Mr. Mucha was proudly a member. Nice little bit of visual coincidence.

I think the reason I am so fascinated with Slave Leia is
1) She looks so incredible, hot and iconic.
2) Carrie Fisher just freaking owned it in the film. Yes, Leia struck back and killed her captor and was never really in any danger, it was all a clever trap. The good guys had the whole thing under control behind the scenes the whole time.
BUT I got the sense Carrie was into it, big time. She liked the whole scenario and maybe even Leia was getting a sexual thrill out of it. Even looking at her face her she seems to be loving resiting it and being "enslaved." Not that Jabba did anything for her, but the situation and outfit did.
I think that may be why Lucus made Jabba a non human and repulsive, to undercut the subtext. Had Jabba been a sexy human male or even female it would have been an entirely different vibe to it and not as kid friendly.
But you remember she was wearing the outfit when they flew away. I'm betting anything she kept it and wore it for Han on many occasions. Or maybe just for herself
And if there is any evidence to the contrary I plan to completely ignore it.
Yes, I have a vivid imagination and don't apologize for it. My brain is a fun place to be.

It really is almost sick in a way, the way we all feel about this piece and the whole "Slave Leia" phenomenon in general, considering its based on taking a woman, enslaving her, stripping her down and turning her into a sexual play thing or object...but damned if it still isn't so sexy! And you've done it, and everyone's favorite Slave Leia cosplayer great justice with this piece.
