I'm curious, what kind of image were you going for? Β To me, it seems as if the plants were her clothing which she is discarding. Β The plants themselves don't look like natural plant like shapes so it seems odd in that regard. Β Whatever the case, very well done and pleasing to look at.

I'm not trying to make my works too realistic, so I love to mix it with some kind of decorative elements. The plants are her clothes and the silver cocoon at the same time.)

I think the weight shamers here are missing the point.
The painting is a representation of the hardships of winter, at least from how I'm understanding it. The subject looks starved because a starved imagery is what is meant. She isn't a modern model who's been pressured into not eating out of a belief that not eating is beautiful. That she hasn't been able to obtain much nourishment during the cold winter months isn't meant to be beautiful. It's just showing what used to happen--or, as she may represent a tree, what happens every year. As spring comes, she'll be renewed again: "Rebirth".

Would you look at a picture of an overweight woman and only react with "she needs to to loose weight" or "she needs to go on a diet?" Because that would be just as rude as what you just said.

Funny you say that because I would, whether it's rude or not it's the truth. A body like that isn't healthy. I've already acknowledged the skill in this art piece but what is thisΒ under weightedΒ woman representing? What would be the difference with a healthier figure used? It isn'tΒ necessary so I don't mind commenting on it.

I see your point. But, I think the woman's body probably has some symbolism to it. It's up to the viewer to figure out what

please don't mistake my meaning
I find this painting to rank very high on the awesome scale
but she simply looks like shes been not eating for a while
and I would be glad to help fatten her up with a steak sandwich!

I think you're also missing a point here, which is that this is a painting on a canvas, and that buying it a steak sandwich wouldn't actually help solve the problem. Which is a similar situation to buying any skinny person in a photo a steak sandwich. Back in the days when being skinny was simply a result of poverty and not being able to buy one's own sandwiches, it would work.
Unless you think that buying a steak sandwich for a canvas would help it in some way?
I'm sure you're well meaning, but I really don't see how you think the steak sandwich is going to help here.
