I have not... any good? Is it an original story or an adaptation of one of the films? I always hate adaptations because they usually have terrible art and are just a neutered version of the film.

Original stories, with Mulder and Scully and they are drawn pretty well!

Don't get confused with the graphic novel and the "30 Days of Night" comic as the comic's artwork is not as good as the novel.
The names involved with the novel are Spotnitz, Wolfman, Moench and Denham.

I did some searches and found the artist who did the interiors and some of the covers (but not the cover you linked to) here on DA. His name is DaneRot on here. He's a pretty good artist, and the X-Files stuff wasn't bad by any means, but it does have that look of being overly photo referenced for Mulder and Scully. Which probably was insisted on by either the licensing people at Fox (or whoever owns the copyright, maybe Chris Carter) or the DC editor on the book.
Nothing wrong with that, but I like there to be more artistic freedom, especially on licensed properties. Because then you can bring something fresh and new, to something safe and established. A good example of this is the new "Ghostbusters" ongoing over at IDW. The art by Dan Schoening perfectly fits the tone of the GBs and is something we haven't seen done on previous GB books.
I think a company like IDW is a better fit for licensed property like X-Files, than DC is. They do a great job with all their licensed books. But I'm not sure who owns the comic rights to it anymore if anyone.

I guess they are kinda over referenced, in I way I like it though. Although the more I look at it the more it'll seem overdone.

He is good at it, though, and it doesn't seem un-natural like some I have seen. But it looks like he only did it for the Mulder and Scully characters and not other characters on the pages I saw. But he is a good artist overall.

Thanks! I'm glad you liked Mulder, he was the reason I wanted to do an X-Files piece...I feel like I need to tweak him a bit to match it to whats in my head, but close enough for a first go!
