The Lord of Evil is so frikkin awesome! One of my favorite characters.
And nice use of the Demon Cat. I can definitely see him as a messenger of sorts for "The Dark One."

Well, they never say her mother WASN'T human. If you notice, Marceline has fang marks on her neck, meaning she wasn't born a vampire. Also, she's said to be at least a thousand years old, so it's quite possible that she was around before the "Great Mushroom War", before humans became nearly extinct.

I don't think there's a reason to believe that the Lord of Evil is an adoptive father. Besides, it's cooler to say that Marceline is the offspring of the ultimate force of evil!

You know, I love it when they mix up the standard expectations of what a vampire is. Marceline's dad is more like some kind of eldritch horror than a vampire, and it's cool! It'd be great if that cat made another appearance, too. I like his menacing voice and that whole "approximate knowledge" thing. Awesome characters, awesome show, awesome drawing. You are awesome.
