"They revolutionized the OS! Bill Gates fucking roxors, without MS, Linux might not even be here...." -- Lol! I can't even begin to describe how much I want to laugh out loud like a crazy ass bastard. Oh, were it not 11:14PM I would!
Bill Gates ripped everyone off, and IBM's OS/2 Warp was a helluva lot better than Windows 3.1. Not only that, but when Windows 95 came out, he touted all these "revolutionary" features that other's had implemented years before. Microsoft sure was good at playing on dumb consumers who didn't know what from what when computers were so new. Of course, any tech-head worth his beans would agree that Unix and Open Source/Free Software is great, especially for low-budget and server deployment. Of course Linux is getting more and more desktop-friendly everyday, much to the dismay of a few mislead individuals who think that dumbed down distros (Lindows, ugh) will somehow impact other distros. Last time I checked Red Hat was staying clear away from the desktop market .

of course they revolutionised computer industry .... why should you use MACs ( use one , and you will know) when you can use PCs with windows ?! ( that crash all the time and are soooo slow ?!? , or use OS/2 , a much better OS than windows , or BEOS for the matter ....... of course , linux rulez )

Although open source is what software should be all about , in fact that should be the base for all that mankind has achieved ( but that's another story..) I don't believe we should bash Msoft for what they have done ( in whatever legal or not way they use..) since they are one of the main reasons personal computers are popular nowadays.. as for the deviation , it's quite funny and well done..
