At an Iberian horse show last year - gorgeous Andalusian in traditional tack.EDIT: as was recently pointed out to me, the angle of this photo does appear to show the horse displaying hyperflexion (see here: [link] ).
This is not the case - I watched this class and although the horse was on occasion (such as in this photo) over-bent (no doubt due to the sensitivity of the breed and severity of traditional tack**), I am certain of this fact. I am sure my standings on this issue are clear enough.
**note: I do not say that the use of the tack is to fault, but simply that this bit is likely stronger than that this horse is used to, hence his slightly backward reaction to it.
